After finally watching the series, it's easy to understand why people are obsessed with Gilmore Girls. If you've ever watched the show, you understand the connection you feel to the characters who speak to you on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. I bet you've watched the series and related to the characters on multiple occasions, especially when Rory acts awkward around a boy she likes or when Lorelai asks Luke for a sixth cup of coffee. Honestly, I could go on forever, but instead I'l just leave you with some of my favorite relatable moments from the series.
1. Coffee makes the world go around
Honestly, Lorelai's obsession with coffee is our obsession with coffee. Sometimes you have two tests to take, a presentation to give, and three meetings to go to all in the same day. Let's be real, coffee is the only thing that keeps you sane on those days.
2. When your professor tells you that the paper he assigned a month ago is due in two days
You don't remember this assignment ever being discussed, let alone assigned. We've all been there! Next comes the mad dash to finish it and turn it on time.
3. You need to consider whether it's really worth it to try following a sleep schedule
Is it better to just take the L on your homework due tomorrow, or can you function on another night of two hours of sleep? These are questions we must all be prepared to ask ourselves.
4. You can't promise that you will be a properly functioning human being even if you do get enough sleep
Have you ever been in class and you zoned out for about two seconds, but those two seconds were crucial to the question your teacher was about to ask you that you then answered completely wrong? Yeah, me too.
5. When someone asks you how you're doing at 8:45 in the morning
I think we can all agree that morning classes are the worst. If anyone asks how you're doing, they're pretty much guaranteed an answer with a hint of sarcasm and a shot of cynicism.
6. You hate going to class
How many times have you complained recently about how much you hate school? Yeah, me too, we're all in this together.
7. When someone asks you what you do outside of class
And you come to the realization that you don't really do anything except study.
8. You're bound to have a breakdown or freak out at some point
It's okay to have a breakdown! You're stressed and tired, and sometimes crying is the only thing that helps.
9. Sometimes you just really need your mom
It doesn't matter if you live at home, if you're two hours away, or on the other side of the country, moms always know the right thing to do or say to help you with whatever you're going through.
10. The stress will make you delusional
It's two in the morning, you and your friend are up doing homework, and you guys can't tell if you're laughing at something funny (or not funny) or crying because of how tired you are - it's a typical Tuesday night. Been there, done that.
11. Trying to be an adult is hard
You're finally starting to understand why adults are so grumpy all the time and the only adult thing you've really had to worry about is your laundry.
12. You witness PDA and you are not about it

Odds are, you're gonna see some PDA on campus and it won't be pretty. Just look away and keep walking - or stare them down and make them feel as uncomfortable as they made you feel.
13. The drunk guy at the party thinks you're into him
Poor drunk person, just because someone thinks you're cute doesn't mean they're attracted to you and wants to date you.
14. When you try to flirt and you fail miserably
Speaking of dating...you've had your eye on the cute boy (or girl) who sits next to you in Statistics and as soon as you think you might be ready to flirt with him, you make a complete fool of yourself and spill your coffee or drop your water bottle in the middle of class.
15. Extra meal swipes
Extra meal swipes are great and all, until you eat your body weight in mozzarella sticks.
16. Laundry is hard
Sometimes you just can't find the time to do your laundry, so you have to borrow a pair of pants from your friend, but then you're afraid of messing them up. Or you had a really fun night and you misplaced your pants forever. Either way, we've all had to borrow clothes from a friend, and when we do we're filled with the fear that we'll ruin their clothes.
17. Your spirit feels broken
If this isn't me, the I don't know what is.
18. You should always have a back-up plan
If Plan A fails, then Plan B is right around the corner! That's one way to think about it at least.
19. At the end of the day, you're with the people you love
No matter how broken your spirit is, or how stressed you are, or how much you miss your pants, at least you know you have your best friends to help you through it all!
