1.) You'll open up your Pandora app at home expecting to hear the latest T. Swift song, but instead you hear "Meeska Mooska Mickeeey Mouse!" Oops.

2.) Stains. Of all sorts. They will happen, embrace them. Messy means memories. So whether it's spaghetti sauce, snot from a two year old's nose, paint, or some other unmentionable, wear them proudly! You have proof you did your job.

3.) While cleaning up unmentionables, you and your coworkers will become great friends. Nothing says team bonding like three people tag teaming a diaper change.

4.) You'll have nicknames, lots of nicknames. I was rarely "Miss Candace," but was always "Deet Deet," "Ka-Duh,'' and "Tannace." Likewise, you'll call them "Had Had," "Best Friend," "Brielley Welly," & "Deet Deet."

5.) You will find the most random things in your coat pockets, like a hit wheels car, a rock, and a plastic toy caterpillar.

6.) You will forever sing the ABC's to the tune of The Adams Family.

7.) Every morning you will be tackled, yes just like the NFL. No other job has a morning greeting quite like this one ! Embrace it. You are so beyond loved.

8.) For the first time in your life, 23 voices will scream your name all at once. Don't you dare plug your ears. Someday you'll miss this sound. No one has ever been this excited to see you.

9.) Shaving cream will make an utter mess. Let the utter mess happen. Afterall, at least it smells good.

10.) Nap time does not consist of peaceful children counting sleep. It never goes as planned.

11.) You'll become a pro artist... in the eyes of a four year old of course! Your chalk drawings are totes comparable to the paintings of Picasso.

12.) You're a dinosaur expert. For the first time in your life, you can name at least ten species off the top of your head and know if they're herbivores or carnivores. Also, you can tell their appearance... mainly due to the fact that's basically all your Picasso-like chalk drawings consist of.

13.) You will hear the funniest things you have ever heard in your life. Like how your braid is very similar to a tiger tail donut. Oh, and the potty training stories, those will be the best!

14.) You will hear the sweetest things in your life. Like how you're a three year old's best friend, how they ask their parents to pray for you at night, how they love your snuggles, you're their daycare momma, and how they love you.

15.) You will forever remember those little faces, no matter how big they may get.

16.) You will always hope that they too remember yours.

17.) You'll realize you've made lifetime friends with twenty-three preschooler's.

18.) Though some of them you may never see again, you will forever be cheering them on.

19.) You will always be heart friends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
