Sometimes, you can't spend Valentine's Day with the person you really want to -- your significant other. It might be because you're in a long distance relationship, and this Valentine's Day hasn't worked out for you to see each other, or maybe they just don't exist. Either way, there are tons of others you can spend Valentine's Day with, and it will be just as fun!

1. Your Best Friend

She understands you in a way a significant other never could, anyway.

2. Your Roommate

A good roommate stops you from drinking too much. The best roommate drinks with you.

3. Your Big / Little

Having a big or a little is it's own form of true love. Why not spend the day with them? You could get matching shirts.

4. Your Mom

There's no love like the love of a parent (and she might just give you some wine).

5. Your Grandparent

So no, not all of our grandparents can be Betty White, but grandparents are definitely the bomb and will most certainly give you a lot of candy.

6. Your Favorite Starbucks Barista

If they know your usual, and are willing to draw a heart next to your name on the cup, then they are perfect Valentine material.

7. A Book

It's a perfect choose-your-own-Valentine opportunity. Mysterious, romantic, ridiculously cliche: it could all be yours.

8. Your Bed

Your bed will always love you harder than any human.

9. The Other Person Alone At The Bar

Never miss an opportunity to make a friend! It's better than drinking alone!

10. Your Schoolwork

While everyone else is on a stupid dinner date, you could be getting a head start on that term paper -- and isn't that just as rewarding?

11. Netflix

You don't even need the chill!

12. Your Ex

NOTE: Only if you get really desperate.

13. Your Favorite Album

Dance party of one, anybody?

14. A Bottle Of Wine

While I did say drinking with a friend is better than drinking alone, drinking alone is definitely better than not drinking at all.

15. The Word Of God

Valentine's Day is on a Sunday, a good a day as any to head on over to church and contemplate God's love.

16. A Dog

Dogs are better than 99 percent of humans anyway. (It does not have to be your dog. It can be literally any dog.)

17. Ben & Jerry

Why go for one Valentine when you could have two?

18. All Of The Chocolate

Don't ever limit yourself with the amount of chocolate you can eat in one day.
