One that I have never asked to be a part of.

18 Times I Would Like To Be Excluded From The Narrative

The past week has been a tough one for my gal, Tay Swift. If you've been living under a social-media-free rock, you might not have heard about the drama that has unraveled even farther between the Kim and Kanye clan and Taylor's squad. Last week, Kim Kardashian released, on Snapchat, videos of Taylor Swift approving a racy line about her in Kanye's song, "Famous," a line that she has been claiming to have never been aware of. Kim posted this all on "National Snake Day," I might add. The shade is unreal, folks. Taylor responded to these videos with a long Instagram post saying she approved one part of the song, but not the other. In typical poetic TSwift fashion, at the end of the post she wrote, "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to a part of, since 2009."

Since the post, many have been using this line in humorous ways on social media. For example, John Legend:

Here are 18 times that I say to myself, "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative..."

1. When a customer starts yelling at me for no good reason.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since five minutes ago."

2. When I get my first student loan bill.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since the start of college."

3. When I finally finish a great series on Netflix.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since the start of this series."

4. When I see my crush flirting with someone else.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since minutes ago."

5. When I end up eating a party size bag of Cheetos by myself.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 30 minutes ago (yeah, you know it wouldn't take long for you, either)."

6. When all my friends are 21 and I'm still a baby.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since being born."

7. When my teacher calls on me and I don't know the answer.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since two seconds ago."

8. When I see embarrassing pictures of myself in middle school.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2008."

9. When he says he's not a "dog person" on the first date.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since I swiped right on Tinder."

10. When I fail an exam I studied hard for.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since I found out about this exam."

11. When I spend all this time in the store, get to the counter, and realize I have no money on me.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since four seconds ago."

12. When I end up spending all my paycheck in one weekend.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be apart of, since pay day."

13. When I'm on hour seven of the typical college all-nighter.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since seven hours ago."14. When you're running late and don't have time to stop for you life-saving coffee.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since this morning."

15. When Pitbull comes on the radio.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since radio was invented."

16. When I'm on hour 24 of the typical college all-nighter.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 24 hours ago."

17. When that creepy guy in class keeps trying to get to know me.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I never asked to be apart of, since the beginning of the semester."

18. When my feelings about Taylor are getting more and more wishy-washy.

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since the start of all this petty drama."

I will always love your music, Taylor!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
