Waking up in the morning for someone who hates mornings is a real struggle. We know we have to do it, but we really don’t want to. Our bed feels like the best place in the world, especially when our alarm goes off. If you are a morning person, we really can’t understand why. Just don’t have high expectations for us night owls before noon!
1. Anything that involves getting up before 10 a.m.? Not going.
2. You NEED coffee to function in the morning. Maybe two cups.
3. Everybody knows that they shouldn’t talk to you in the morning because you are usually grumpy. Your family steers clear of you right when you wake up.
4. Getting up for school seems to be the hardest thing about school.
5. Your alarm clock is your worst enemy, and your bed is your very best friend.
6. You also have to set about six alarms for an early morning because you absolutely won’t wake up to just one.
7. At sleepovers you are the last one to get up.
8. You would rather leave the house un-showered and in sweatpants than get up an hour earlier to get made up.
9. You’ve mastered being able to get ready in a matter of ten minutes when you realize that if you hit snooze one more time, you will be late for class.
10. Waking up before 11 a.m. seems to be pushing it for you.
11. People often tell you, “if you wouldn’t go to bed so late maybe you could actually get up in the morning.” And it’s so annoying!
12. An 8 a.m. class just absolutely will not do. And if attendance for that class is mandatory, you’re screwed.
13. Falling asleep in that early morning class is totally also a thing.
14. You can’t be expected to function properly for at least a few hours after you have gotten up after an early morning.
15. The weekends are your favorite because you can sleep in however long you desire.
16. Waking us up before our alarm goes off can lead to an extremely unpleasant morning.
17. Cheery, upbeat morning people don’t appeal to us.
18. You’re never more productive in the morning.
There are so many things we would love to do, just don’t ask us to do them before noon. We value our sleep and mornings are not our thing.
