In my opinion, the world as we knew it in 2006 was a better time. Back when it was still considered a good idea to purchase movies from Blockbuster, and to ask your hair stylist for super chunky blonde highlights. Here were some more of the fond memories 2006 graced us with:
1.) AIM
I actually miss the days where I would run off the bus after school to Instant Message my 3 friends that I was just with for the last 8 hours. "Hi" "Hi "wu?" "nm jc u?" "same" "cool".
2.) Crocs
Yes, there was a time that these were considered a sensible fashion accessory. Also, you'd have to stick a few "Crocs Buttons" in the holes on the top to add a little flare.
3.) Webkinz/Club Penguin
I wonder if my puffles are still alive?
4.) Juicy Couture Sweatsuits
You were lucky if you were rich enough to own both the top and bottoms, but usually you just had the sweatshirt.
5.) The Wii
When everyone ignored all the warnings to wear the wristband and flung the remote into their TV.
6.) The Motorola Razr
You were the coolest kid in school if you had one of these.
7.) The iPod Shuffle
Not one of Apple's better ideas. Why would you not want to know which Jonas Brother's song you were listening to?
8.) Heely's
Getting yelled at multiple times in the grocery stores for zooming up and down the aisles wearing these bad boys.
9.) Dance Dance Revolution
You never did make it to expert level.
10.) Rubber Wristbands
You had to pile them all up your arm until you reached your elbow, or until you were cutting off your circulation.
11.) Myspace
Do you remember who your Top 8 were?
12.) Fergie
She was in her prime when she decided to go solo. The Dutchess album was on continuous repeat on my CD player for the entire year.
13.) Layers upon layers of clothing
Because one tank top was just not enough.
14.) The Uggs and skirt combo
It never actually looked good.
