Long distance relationships are hard. I should know because currently, I am in one. Truthfully, I not like this whole distance thing. That said, I cannot deny that it is worth it, especially because I'm so smitten with my boyfriend. There are some things that us ladies know to be true in long distance relationships, so here are some of them with GIFS that really hit you in the feels.

1. You really did not want to go your separate ways once finals ended

2. So now you're counting down the days till you come back together again, whether it's for the weekend or back at school

3. There were a lot of tears, lots and lots of tears

4. You may have tried to surprise visit them once or twice

5. You want to Facetime every chance you get, because not seeing their face every day is something you're not used to

6. Date nights no longer involve movies or food, but video or phone calls

7. You may already be sick of the distance, which makes it frustrating

8. Fights are ten times more extreme because they're all online

10. You may lie a bit and tell them everything is okay, because people worry 10 times more when they're states away from you

11. You may question if you can do the whole long distance 'thing' once or twice

12. You know that, despite the frustration, you'll see them sometime soon

14. You'd probably just settle for cuddles, though

15. You're still your SO's biggest support team, though, despite the miles

16. Letters may have started to become your thing, just to keep things interesting

17. Despite the distance, you both will continue to love one another, fully knowing that the extra miles are only temporary

18. And the excitement you'll feel that day will make you think your heart is going to burst
