The person who finds the baby Jesus, has to host a party on February 2 and have tamales as the meal.
9. Rice and Beans are essentially in every single meal.

10. Family gatherings mean that your driveway will look like this.

Because your 9 aunts and uncles and 30 cousins will be there, too.
11. You had a piñata at every birthday party when you were a child.

Somehow, you managed to make it out alive every time.
12. Your parents were incredibly strict.

God forbid, you do something stupid because if they get mad, you will be grounded for a very long time.
13. Watching telenovelas was a great pastime.

14. You wondered why Cinco de Mayo was such a big deal in America.

No, it is not Mexico’s independence day. It is not even close to being a major holiday in Mexico.
15. You got your face slammed in your birthday cake as soon as you blew the candles.

“Mordida! Mordida!”

It is the most delicious candy in the world.
