Art has always been an incredibly significant part of my life. From the time I could hold a crayon, I was scribbling on the walls (sorry, Mom!). I opted to take art classes in school from the time I was in third grade until my senior year of high school, relishing in the opportunities for creative expression that artwork consistently afforded me. I even wound up writing my college essay about how important art was to me, recognizing that I was never the most talented artist in the room but never allowing that to subdue my passion. Since starting college, I haven't had as much time to create artwork as I would have hoped, but whenever I can, I push myself to make a new piece or, at the very least, appreciate the famous works of art that have captivated audiences worldwide for centuries.
