It's January, which means that The Bachelor is back! That's right, for the next 2 months on every Monday at 8 p.m., we get to finally witness this year's Bachelor, Arie Luyendyk from Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette, partake in his journey to find his wife.
Everyone in the Bachelor Nation has been excited for the show's return since this year's Bachelor and fan-favorite was last seen on the ABC show back in 2012 when he became the runner-up after Maynard rejected his proposal. But there's so much more about the show's return to be excited about, which only true Bachelor fans will understand.
1. Having to wait for months until the season premiere feels like an eternity
Once it's announced who the Bachelor is, having to wait for premiere night is painful. How much longer until the catfights, multiple camera shots of the Bachelor shirtless, and Chris Harrison?
2. But then feeling excitement once you see commercials announcing the premiere date
Whenever these commercials come on TV, you automatically know that means Bachelor season is right around the corner.
3. Realizing how much you missed the show when Chris Harrison starts his introduction
But also most importantly... how much you missed Chris Harrison.
4. Knowing how far the girls will go on the first night to impress the Bachelor
The standards are set high because there are thirty other girls fighting for this one guy's attention.
5. And cringing at some of these attempts crash and burn
There are just some things that maybe you should avoid saying when meeting the potential love of your life.
6. Sitting on the edge of your couch waiting for the cattiness to come out
And usually, it only takes about 20 or 30 minutes.
7. Watching the craziness unfold in each group date
You never know if that day the contestants are going to be sumo wrestling, performing fake breakup fight scenes, or dancing with the Backstreet Boys.
8. And also admiring the cuteness of each one-on-one date
Let's be real, we all wish we could be the lucky girl getting to go on a date with a hot bachelor.
9. Forgetting how much the girls start drama and cry 24/7
Which only makes you miss The Bachelorette even more because it mostly consists of shirtless guys instead of girls crying.
10. Watching both girls on the two-on-one date sabotage each other
It's a battle of who can persuade the Bachelor to believe their side of the story, which leads to you praying he makes the right decision on who he sends home.
11. And taking a sigh of relief when the Bachelor sends home the girl that's been causing the most drama of the season
Now there won't be anyone stirring up unnecessary drama... at least for now.
12. Wishing you could go to the Women Tell All and call out everyone for their lies
We get it, Taylor, you're a psychiatrist. But that doesn't make you better or smarter than everyone.
13. Laughing at the bloopers
This part of the show is so iconic and special that even Chris Harrison looks forward to it every season.
14. Feeling your heart stop when Chris says this line
You know it's about to get real messy whenever Chris drops this bomb on us.
15. But then a week later you realize the cliffhanger wasn't as dramatic as Chris said it would be
And all of that waiting during the week was for nothing.
16. Crying endless tears at the proposal
It's the moment of the season that every Bachelor fan waits for because now we finally know after two long months who he chooses to be his wife.
17. And then realizing that you have to wait until the summer for The Bachelorette
Why do the producers of the show like making us wait so much?
