1. The 2014 Wildcard game was the greatest playoff game ever

I could watch this GIF over and over again.....

2. Bo Jackson is a legit superhero

And yes, we knew who Bo was before the 30 for 30 did the documentary about him. He's an honest to God urban legend in KC.

3. Hatred for the Cardinals, Yankees and White Sox run deep

Sure, the Royals MIGHT have started a couple of little tussles, but like the other teams deserved it right?

4. On that note... we will always remember what you did Robinson Cano

Boy, the Home Run Derby is nothing serious just let good ol Country Breakfast have his chance. Yes, he wasn't the greatest hitter, yes, he def was gonna do nothing for your team, but come on! It's our hometown dude.

5. You've probably had some random run-in with a player out and about

Yesterday, I got a phone call from my mom. She was excited and frantic because she just saw Danny Duffy walking around when she was running errands. It's funny to see them out of uniform, but it reminds you that they're people too.

6. You know "Friends in Low Places" by heart even if you despise the damn song

Controversial opinion, I'm glad they changed up the 7th inning stretch song.

7. Tailgating is not just relegated to football season

KC knows how to have a fun time. Get us a grill, Boulevard and some hot dogs we gonna do it right.

8. You have so many random T-Shirt Tuesday Royals shirts you could start your own team with them

9. The 2014 World Series loss stings a little still

WHY DIDN'T YOU AT LEAST TRY TO SEND GORDON HOME MIKE!!!!

10. You know someone, who knows someone, who is connected to George Brett

The man, the myth, the Kansas City version of Kevin Bacon.

11. Salvi is the greatest team mascot

Salvi splash is iconic at this point. Also......

May his bromance with LoLo live on.

12. Family Funday Sunday was the best when you were a kid

Even tho...

13. Day games in the Kansas City summertime are straight brutal

Oh, don't mind me, I'm just melting in this 100-degree weather with 95% humidity and no wind.

14. You know, "That's what speed do," is the best baseball catchphrase

Oh Jarrod, you are dearly missed, my friend.

15. You know who Billy Martin is and what happened to him when he snitched

They get stitches, Billy.

16. The number 30 will always represent the terrible loss in the Royal family

We miss you a lot, Ace.

17. Through the good, the bad and the ugly true blue fans are family and we stick with our team

We've been there through the awful managers, being a farm team for teams with more money, sending a single relief pitcher to the All-Star Game and 100 + loss records. It might be tough times, but we love our team because we were born and raised Royal.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
