Growing up military was no easy feet, but being a part of such a unique family experience created so many opportunities that an ordinary family may never have. Here are a couple signs that you grew up in a military household.
1. You have a garage full of boxes rather than cars. Might as well leave them packed!
2. When the backs of your furniture have different colored inventory numbers from all of your moves.
3. You only know your parents' co-workers by their last name.
4. You associate major life events with whatever state you were living in at the time.
5. Your younger siblings think any man in a uniform is your dad.
6. Each of your siblings were born in a different state, or maybe even a different country!
7. After three years, you start to wonder why you haven't moved yet.
8. When you get pulled over and you have to explain that it’s legal for you to have an out of state license while living in the state for more than 30 days!
9. When someone asks you where you're from, you say, "We just moved from (last home) but I grew up in (where you were born)"
10. You ask for military discounts at every store.
11. You've been to Sea World at least ten times.
12. No matter who you meet, if they're military, you have something to instantly talk about.
13. It's not until someone comes to visit that you realize how often planes fly over your house.
14. When you don't need a clock to know it's 10 a.m.
15. Your passport has a picture of you when you were two years old after your first move out of the country.
16. You have friends in every state with a base.
17. You have knick knacks from all of the countries your dad has been deployed to.
