It's finally December, and the only thing on your mind (aside from the holiday season) is the sweet gratification of heading home to spend some much needed time with your family (and away from your roommates). With the stress of finals now over, it's time to think ahead, namely returning home from three straight months of nonstop college life. You'll see your family and friends, and do all the things you loved doing in high school. So get hyped, because the season of home-cooked meals, sleeping in, and having no obligations is upon us.

1. You forget what the world looks like beyond the walls of the library

2. “I’m so over it” is your most commonly used expression

3. Right behind “get me the hell out of here”

4. Everyone and everything is slowly starting to annoy you

5. You’re mentally checked out

6. You’re physically checked out

7. The dining hall is making you lose faith that food can even taste good

8. You’re aggressively researching and planning out every single thing you’re going to do once you get home

9. If you’re from the south, the cold is starting to get to you

10. If you’re from the north, the lack of snow is starting to get to you

11. You’re missing having your own space at home

12. You can’t wait to be reunited with all your high school friends

13. And to visit all your old haunts

14. If you’re traveling, you’re pretty damn excited about that

15. And if you’re jut chilling on the couch, you’re pretty excited about that too

16. Your laundry is piling up in the hopes that your parents will take care of it for you

17. And most of all, the pain of not seeing your dog is hitting you hard

So back up your bags and hit the road. Winter break is finally here! Get ready for nonstop relaxation, and fun, wintry times to come. And just when you've had enough, you'll be en route back to school. Unless you're graduating or going abroad, in which case, get yourself ready for all the adventure to come.
