The countdown is officially on! The first day of Fall 2016 is Thursday, September 22nd. I don't know about any of you but I'm excited! Fall (or Autumn) is my absolute favorite season, for sooooo many reasons. Between the movies and the coffee flavors of the season, you better start falling in love with these 17 things to look forward to!
1. The colors!

Okay, seriously, who doesn't love the colors associated with fall. The different shades of orange, brown, red. These warm colors fill my heart with joy. Especially when I'm walking to classes and I'm surrounded by falling leaves of all these different colors.
2. Seasonal coffee flavors, duh.

I'm not a huge fan of the PSL but it's still a fall favorite! How about a Salted Caramel latte? There's also great flavors like: Cinnamon Roll, Apple Cider, Maple, Crème Caramel and French Almond. Definitely go out and find one somewhere! Pro tip: local coffee shops sometimes have these fun flavors. The leaves are falling and my coffee is calling!
3. Movie time!!!

Hello???? The Halloween Town movies??? Scary Godmother??? How about Hocus Pocus? Or my favorite movie in existence: The Nightmare Before Christmas. 13 Nights of Halloween on Freeform is going to be LIT this year.
4. There's something nice about being able to read a book.

Getting to drink some yummy coffee and sit down to read a good book sure does sound perfect.
5. Halloween.

Relax, I didn't forget about one of the most important holidays out there. Honestly, Halloween is Hallo-weekend at most colleges, so it's just extended fun! It also gives a lot of people reason to dress up in fun costumes and bring out the inner kid in them!
6. Campfire fun!

I can't do this on my campus :( BUT ITS STILL SOMETHING TO BE EXCITED ABOUT! Friends love getting together for a nice campfire while the weather is nice enough to be outside.
7. Thanksgiving

I know I said Halloween was good, but Thanksgiving? I mean really. You get to spend time with your family and friends, eat some amazing food and watch the Macys Thanksgiving day parade! (hint: the leftover thanksgiving sandwhiches for lunch the next day are my favorite part.)
8. You're not sweating walking to class

Tbh this is what I'm most excited about. It's not so hot that you have to stop every 5 minutes to drink some water or something awful like that.
9. Sweater Weather

God bless. It's so comfy to just wear some leggings and a sweater. The air is so cool and crisp. I love this time... and speaking of....
10. It's extra cuddly.

Shout out to your significant other because I personally think fall is the best cuddle time out there. Take advantage of it! Cuddle up in some comfy clothes and pick a good fall movie to watch!
11. APPLE PICKING!

I have NEVER been apple picking but I'm determined to make that change this year. I mean who doesn't love apples picked right off the tree?
12. Football season!

So most people are pretty excited because of football season, and I totally understand why! What a great time to get together with some friends and cheer on your favorite team (or your school! GO BLUE HENS.)
13. Thanksgiving break!!!

AKA the reason most students love fall. It's the break from classes we all get and love!
14. Carving pumpkins

I actually just get excited trying to find something cool and spooky on pinterest that I can carve into a pumpkin. Am I good at it? Psh, not at all. Will I still do it? Hell yeah. Or you could be like this girl and carve something super spooky.
15. Two words: Candy Corn

Most people at this point might think I'm satan, but I'm a sucker for Candy Corn. It's literally my weakness. I might be currently eating a bag of some caramel macchiato candy corn as I'm typing this...
16. Punkin Chunkin!

If you're Delaware native you've definitely heard of this one. Located in Bridgeville, Delaware, is Punkin Chunkin where people gather to watch others with Trebuchets, Catapults, Torsions & Air Cannons all to see some pumpkins flying in the air. I HIGHLY recommend going to this if you haven't already. The link below:

17. You're one season closer to CHRISTMAS.

This one is for you, Erin. Yeah, some people aren't too excited for fall. The thought of Christmas being right around the corner gets people pretty excited though! (Thinking back to the end of the Thanksgiving day parade where they bring out Santa gets people pretty hype.)
