17 Reasons Why You Should Live With Your Best Friends

Living with your best friends in college will give you some of your greatest memories in life. College is sometimes a very stressful place, and being able to go home to people that care so much about you is once of the greatest feelings. Whether it be good times, bad times, or anything in between, there are many things you should know when you get to live with your best friends.

1. Your closet will become their closet, and their closet will become your closet.

Either class, event, or date night with a new boy, we all eventually run out of clothing options and find it necessary to raid our roommates closests for something new to wear.

2. You will cook dinner for each other, as if you were an actual family.

Let's face it one person may be better at cooking, but that's okay! It's the quality time being spent together that really matters!

3. There will be more dance parties than need be.

If you are celebrating.. dance. If you are stressed... Dance. If you are bored....Dance. No matter what a dance party can always happen, just turn up the latest hits and start dancing like you know how.

4. Left over food? Nope, anything is fair game after 12 hours.

You go out for dinner and think you are going to have leftovers for lunch?? Wrong. Once it gets put in the fridge it is all fair and games to whoever is the next person to open the fridge. So, if you really want your leftovers my suggestion would be to hide them in the very back behind a few things.

5. If you have a test to study for most likely than not so will they, so you can have study sessions together and pretend like you have y'all's lives together.

We tend to put off studying until the day before. Which is probably not the smartest idea, however your roommates will be there with lots of coffee and to make sure you do not go to sleep until you have fully finished studying.

6. There will always be a mother of the apartment to make sure everyone is up in time for class.

Someone always has to be the mom of the group. From having everyone's assignments are turned in on time, doing laundry, or even making sure your roommates come home at a decent time during the week, being the mom of the group can be a fun job sometimes.

7. When there is nothing else to do, you will probably make some Pinterest creations.

More times than not... that "pinterest creation" will end up as a fail. Either the fire alarm will go off, you might use a little too much salt, or even forget the creation is in the oven. It's okay though Papa John's delivers up to midnight or later some nights.

8. Even though each have your own bed, there will be many times that you sleep in each other's.

Even though it is a mere 15 foot walk to your own bed, you would much rather be curled up with your best friends in their beds.

9. You will know everything that is happening in their lives pretty much as it happens.

They can barely get in the door before you start asking them all sorts of questions about everything. Actually, they may even be texting you as it is happening just so that you can help them with the responses.

10. If a boy breaks your or a roommates heart, there will be a night full of crying, cheesy movies, and lots and lots of ice cream.

Don't ask questions. Just go to store pick up some ice cream and grab a pizza or two and just sit there and wait for them to talk to you.

11. There will be "a show" that you all watch together.

A new season of some show comes around each semester, and you and your besties decide that y'all are going to watch it together. With that being said, if one of you can't make it for the first airing each week, well then sadly you all must wait to watch it together.

12. You will scream for them if you absolutely need them, no matter what you are doing.

Either you have run out of toilet paper, find a verry big bug that probably should not be in your apartment, or just have something to tell them and it cannot wait, 9/10 they will come within a couple of seconds of your scream.

13. You get so comfortable together sometimes no pants, or sports bra and sweatpants are the norm around the apartment.

Let's all be honest. Some days you just do not feel like pants are a necessity. If I'm laying in bed all day, I'd rather do it without pants on. If I just happen to leave my room to go to the kitchen real fast I'm most likely not going to put a shirt over my sports bra if I know my roommates don't have friends over. However, if it is just my roommates home, I'll probably barge in their room without pants on and more times than not they probably won't have pants on either.

14. You miss each other like crazy when you don't see them for 3 or more hours (let's not speak of weekends when y'all aren't together).

You go from seeing each other 24/7 to not seeing each other much during the busy weeks, and quite frankly you miss each other.. a lot. There are even some weekends you cannot go home with each other, and well let's just say those weekends are filled with facetimes, snapchats, and lots of texting!

15. Sometimes you will text each other from the other room because you are too lazy to get out of bed.

Walking all the way to their room just to tell them what the "boy" texted you may be too much, so instead just screenshot that message and send it on. Sometimes your bed is too cozy to move, and you just want to spend some time by yourself but want to talk to them at the same time, so you text them (simple solution)!!

16. Getting ready to go out is a two-hour process because you spend too much time talking.

One person does the other's hair, one does the makeup, one picks the clothes, etc. Most likely you are going to the same event, so of course you have to get ready together. Besides, how else would you talk about the do's and don't's of the events if you did not get ready together?!

17. There's never have a dull moment, because nothing can be better than living with your best friends!

Some of us have already had the privelege living with our best friends, others are going into their first year. No matter what the case is for you and your best friends, you will enjoy every second of the next journey that you all face together!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
