As most of you know, the Iowa Caucus was held just this past week. This caucus is often thought to predict the presidential nominee for a party. For the past several months, the world has watched in terror as Donald Trump led the polls across the nation. But at the caucus? We saw the truth - Trump got trumped. Maybe people lied during the polls or maybe the media hyped Trump's popularity, but either way, we saw that the crazy and oppressive Donald Trump was not successfully leading the GOP party like he so believed. And the country proceeded to celebrate. Here are a few real pictures from that evening.
1. Children across the nation were anxiously praying.
"Please, please, please don't let the bad man win!"
2. Adults across the nation were impatiently waiting for the results.
This is preposterous!
3. When the results were announced, we all became giddy with joy.
"Miracles do happen!"
4. Our faith in humanity was restored.
We knew that no one was going to vote for him IRL (in real life).
5. The relief was palpable.
I'm right there with you, Denzel.
6. People began to dance in the streets.
Older couples were doing the twist, kids were twerking, and everyone was getting down with their bad lives.
7. Some even "raised the roof."
And thus, the roof was raised.
8. Flowers were everywhere.
No one planted them. The flowers just started to bloom from the change in the air.
9. Even the children understood it was time for celebration.
I think there were parades and bouncy-houses.
10. Those who were able-bodied celebrated with dance and acrobatics.
Yes, this actual footage of an actual person celebrating after the caucus.
11. Trump supporters were, of course, shaken.
Freedom. Has. Spoken.
12. Everyone else pretended to care.
#sorrynotsorry
13. Just kidding, we were visibly relieved.
"That was a close one."
14. The calls for Trump to get lost rang out louder than ever.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooo.
15. Ted Cruz was understandably excited.
Cruz was cruising down the blessed highway that is victory.
16. Trump? Not so much.
His loss was HUUUUUGE.
17. Finally, we all returned to our evenings.
Peace and blessings.
Don't forget to vote in the upcoming primary and election! Be responsible adults!
