Whether or not you're originally from Tulsa, if you've been in the city for more than about a day, you'll start hearing a few names of places said over and over. Tulsa isn't a huge city by any means, but it is a pretty decent size. There are a lot of things to do on any given day, but there's a specific group of places that are almost always mentioned when getting together with friends or family to do something.

1. Cain's Ballroom.

Cain's almost always has something going on, whether a concert or some other type of event, and is a great place to see live music.

2. The Phoenix Cafe.

The Phoenix is a fairly new addition to Tulsa, but in the few years that it has been around it has come to be one of the most popular cafes in the city. It's a great place to study, and they even have live music on some nights!

3. Guthrie Green.

Another fairly new area in Tulsa is Guthrie Green. It has only been around for a couple years and is already a popular spot in the spring and summer months. You can find anything there, from food trucks and live music to people playing freeze tag and kids playing in the fountains.

4. Yokozuna.

One of the best sushi places in the city, hands down.

5. Chimera.

Yet another great coffeehouse in Tulsa.

6. The Admiral Twin Drive-In.

Not a lot of places can say that they still have a drive-in movie theatre, but Tulsa can. Plus, it was featured in the movie, "The Outsiders!"

7. The Vanguard.

Smaller than Cain's, and slightly less popular, the Vanguard is a great place for local and lesser-known bands to play. Still a great venue and you're guaranteed to have a good time, no matter who you're seeing there.

8. Mod's Coffee & Crepes.

If you're looking for crepes, coffee, or gelato, Mod's is the place to be.

9. Old School Bagel Cafe.

So many bagels. Seriously, any kind of bagel you could ask for. They also serve up some of the best cookies in Tulsa.

10. Turkey Mountain.

It's not much of a mountain, and I've never seen any turkeys there, but it is a great place to spend a nice, sunny day.

11. The Philbrook Museum.

Great photo ops, art exhibits, and brunch. They also have a really cool gift shop!

12. Decopolis.

Decopolis sells everything from really fun games and trinkets to cool, historical Tulsa memorabilia.

13. The Tulsa State Fair.

It only comes around once a year, but everyone and their dog shows up to participate in the fun.

14. Woodward Park.

Pro tip: if you want to take pictures here, don't go in the spring. The park is packed full with brides and grooms taking wedding and engagement photos, as well as parents and teenagers taking prom and graduation pictures.

15. Woodland Hills Mall.

While it's not exactly unique, Woodland Hills Mall is a Tulsa staple, especially around Christmastime.

16. Ida Red.

Sort of like Decopolis, Ida Red sells some really cool Tulsa items, while still maintaining the "unique boutique" vibe.

17. Downtown Tulsa in general.

Downtown Tulsa has grown so much and is now a super popular place to hang out on holidays and weekends. There are so many cool shops and buildings to look at and restaurants to try out.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
