I was just born awkward.

Whether you're walking down the street or at the mall, awkward moments happen all the time. I'm a very awkward person and the worst awkward moments always happen to me when I least expect it. I could be strutting my stuff while walking out of Michael's and I could just walk straight into the glass door instead of the sliding one. You never know. Here are a few awkward situations that I think most of y'all have experienced.

1. Calling people by the wrong name.

I really did know who you were, I just can't speak today, I swear.

2. Mixing up twins.

If you're best friends with two twins and you still can't tell them apart, there is no hope in ever knowing the difference.

3. Sending messages to the wrong person.

Oh yeah, I'm talking about you to my friend. Sorry, I didn't mean to send that screenshot of our conversation to you.

4. When you say have a good morning/night and it's the opposite.

I'm convinced I'm nocturnal.

5. Calling a teacher "Mom".

It's not that I don't know that you're actually my teacher, I just wish that you were actually my mom sometimes.

6. Saying "Congratulations" to someone who isn't pregnant.

Oh, you're not pregnant? Excuse me for a minute while I go bang my head into that wall over there.

7. Forgetting someone's name.

It's at the tip of my tongue, I know it. Maybe.

8. Making eye contact with someone who is in the car next to you.

I'm sexy and you know it, that's really why you're staring at me, isn't it?

9. Waving at someone who actually wasn't waving at you.

Oh that's right, I don't have friends.

10. When your stomach growls really loud in a quiet classroom.

SHUT UP! *punches stomach hard*

11. Wishing someone a happy holiday when it isn't even that holiday.

Happy Easter, Merry Christmas, all the same holidays.

12. Sending an ugly/embarrassing Snapchat to the wrong person.

I hope you enjoy my forced double chin, buck teeth selfie. Please, just don't screenshot it.

13. When you're stalking someone and you like their picture from months or years ago on accident.

This is literally the most awkward thing ever, especially if you don't even follow the person. This has happened to me so many times, but I'm just going to continue stalking you anyway.

14. Trying to pull open a door that you're supposed to push.

They need to write "push" and "pull" in bigger, more vibrant letters. That's the real problem here.

15. Walking towards the wrong side of an automatic sliding door.

EVERY TIME I GO TO MICHAEL'S THIS HAPPENS.

16. When you accidentally tag the wrong person in a picture or post.

Did I do that on purpose so you can see how much fun I had or was it really an accident...?

17. When you're at a 4-way stop sign and no one can decide who is going to go first.

I think it's usually whoever's on the right goes first, but that isn't even going to help when everyone is waving at each other.

It's safe to say these are some of the most recurring embarrassing moments that happen to a lot of people. This article includes but obviously, is not limited to all the embarrassing moments out there. I'll probably have a new awkward encounter in the time it took for you to read this article.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
