16 Things Women Worry About That Men Don't

Being a woman is hard. Every day of our lives, we are faced with fears and worries that men will never have to experience. These are just 15 of the countless ones:

1. Being pregnant.

You have a uterus, so you’re the responsible one. No matter the situation.

2. Getting cat-called.

Who doesn’t love being whistled and called demeaning names?

3. Walking alone at night.

Constantly checking over your shoulder, making sure you have pepper spray or some weapon on hand, and constant fear.

4. Being too ambitious.

Because driven women are called bitches, while driven men are called bosses.

5. Period math.

Trying to figure out if you should wear white pants, or if should you carry extra tampons all comes down to an exact science.

6. Leaving drinks unattended.

Because you have a constant fear of being drugged.

7. Being called a slut.

It doesn’t matter if you like your clothes. If you’re showing a tiny bit more skin than socially acceptable, you are labeled a slut.

8. Making sure you don't come off as easy.

Because that is unladylike.

9. Or too "prude."

Because that is undesirable.

10. Our weight.

11. People asking when you’ll have kids.

What if I want to focus on my career first and foremost. Or what if I don’t want kids at all?

12. About what new restricting legislation white, elderly male politicians will pass regulating your own body.

Because they ultimately know what's best.

13. Being asked if you’re "tired" or "sick" when not wearing makeup.

I'm getting real tired and sick of you.

14. People attributing your behavior to being on your period.

“No, I’m not on my period. You’re just a horrible person.”

15. Still being paid less than a man for doing the same job.

It’s 2016. Really??

16. All of our body parts being objectified.

They are just boobs.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
