People, the internet is an odd place. Buzzfeed is not alone in their queries if we want to live in the the Known World, in fact, I’ve seen it many at time in many a Reddit or a quiz that someone would ponder the idea of the beauty of living in Westeros.
Ah yes, Westeros. Land of conquest, everlasting winter, pretty flowers, poison and constant murder. Fun.
One might argue that when they say they wish to live in the Known World, they’d seek out Essos as home, after all, that’s their closest route to Tyrion, Dany and Varys. Why wouldn’t we want to traverse a continent riddled with hungry dragons, war-nomads, pretty plains and assassins?
Nevertheless, the Known World is a beautiful, magical place, and "Game of Thrones" and "A Song of Fire and Ice" have hella cool characters and adventures, so why wouldn’t we want to live that life? Some of the easiest ways would be to play various tabletop RPGs, LARPs, video games, or dive into other vividly-landscaped fantasy books. But I’d like to take it one step beyond. Here are the best ways to most distinctly immerse yourself in George R. R. Martin’s world.
