16 Types Of People In Every Squad

Whether your squad consists of your three best girl friends or a bunch of your high school buddies, every friend group is different. While the college experience is what you make of it, it’s the people around you that make your four years so special. Whether your squad changes from freshman year to senior or not, the memories you make with the people around you will last a lifetime. But no matter who’s in the group, a squad wouldn’t be a squad without some of the following people.

1. The friend who’s always “almost ready.”

The pregame starts at 10 p.m., but it’s almost guaranteed they won’t make it there before 11 p.m.

2. The friend who can’t wait to start the night.

After class on a Thursday afternoon or before noon on a Saturday, you better believe this friend is already starting the pre-pregame. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?

3. The friend who’s the selfie king/queen.

Who doesn't like a good selfie?

4. The friend who leads the group.

They know where the party is, when it's starting, and who's going to be there...just go with it.

5. The friend who loves tequila.

But quite honestly, who doesn't?

6. The friend who loves tequila...maybe a little too much.

They take one tequila, two tequila, three tequila...floor, a little too literally.

7. The friend who knows everyone at the party.

You show up to the party with your best friend, happy to have a wing man/woman for the night, but little did you know they were also the president of student body along with part of 27 other clubs.

8. The friend who tears up the dance floor.

But honestly, aren't they the life of the party?

9. The friend who uses peer pressure to their advantage.

When your roommate says they're not going out, that's not acceptable for you. It's Friday night, get ready.

10. The friend who knows the lyrics to every song the DJ plays.

From Justin Bieber to Busta Rhymes, they'll kill it every time.

11. The friend who will always support your drunken eating habits.

There is no such thing as a perfect night, unless it ends with pizza.

12. The friend who doesn't want the night to end.

Yes it's 3 a.m., and we might be the only people in the bar, but the night's not over until they turn the lights on.

13. The friend who will always make sure everyone is accounted for.

No one leaves alone, ever.

14. The friend that documents the night's events.

Thank you for the hilarious reminders in the morning. We all live for reliving the night through our best friend's Snapchat story the morning after.

15. The friend that keeps the group chat alive.

A major squad goal is the group chat, but we're all guilty of not keeping up with it. Thank you for always having something to say and make sure you let the rest of us know you love us, even when you're drunk.

16. And the friend that always has your back, no matter what.

Thank you for joining me as I tore it up on the dance floor alone, helped me get out of a bad situation and didn't ask questions when we needed to go home right that second. You're the real MVP.

Friends come and go, but squads are forever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
