With the new "Gilmore Girls" revival series coming out this November on Netflix, a lot of us are logging onto our Netflix accounts to re-watch all seven seasons of the original Gilmore Girls series. Fans of the show know how hilarious and relatable some of the characters are, especially Lorelai. She can make us laugh, cry, and say “awe” all in one episode. So, in honor of the upcoming revival series, here are 16 times Lorelai Gilmore accurately described our lives.

1. When you finally get up the nerve to try one of the Starbucks drinks on the “secret menu.”

I have to say, Lorelai loves her coffee, but I feel like she’d love to try a Fruity Pebbles Frappuccino.

2. When Thanksgiving break finally rolls around.

You can never have too much food on Thanksgiving (or any day). Do you have more than one dinner to go to? That’s okay! Remember when Lorelai and Rory went to Thanksgiving dinner at the Kim’s, Luke’s, Sookie’s and Emily’s? Anything is possible.

3. When you get into the spirit of the Olympics… on your couch, with a carton of ice cream.

If people can go to the Olympics to compete in Race Walking, why have we not added eating as an event yet? I’m sure Lorelai would sign the petition.

4. When your friend falls in love.

You want my advice? You’re going to act like a moron, and so will he. You just can’t help it.

5. When someone calls you crazy.

There’s nothing wrong with a little sarcasm.

6. When someone tells you there’s no time for coffee.

Lorelai has a point. You don’t want to see me without coffee. You won’t like me without coffee.

7. When you’re trying to find a decent date.

Is it too much to ask? We all need a Luke in our lives.

8. When someone tells me about all the essays due next week.

Don’t speak about it around me. I’m not interested.

9. When someone tells me I have to get up early.

Yeah, that’s not going to work for me. I’ll see you at 10.

10. When you realize it’s Sunday Night.

I don’t enjoy Mondays… at all. I try not to think about them.

11. When someone argues with me in the morning.

It’s too early for this and I’m really not okay right now.

12. When someone talks to me like I’m stupid.

Oh, would you look at that! I do have a brain. I also have intelligent thoughts!

13. When someone wants to change the plans last minute.

As long as we stick to what I want to do, everything will be fine!

14. When you and your roommate stay in and watch Netflix on a Friday night.

Why isn’t a six-hour marathon of "Friends" on a Friday night socially acceptable?

15. When you finally stop eating at the dining hall for the week.

A Pop-Tart never tasted so good.

16. When your roommate goes on a date with a loser.

He better at least seem cool.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
