2017 may have been a great year for you or it may not have been. However no matter what, there are always ways you can improve it and make 2018 even better. There are so many things you can let go of and leave behind to make room for a happier you and make 2018 a great year.

1. The constant need for approval.

Not everyone is going to like you but not everyone needs to like you. If someone has an issue with you, its their problem, not yours.

2.Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Start taking action for the things you want. Nothing ever got done by just sitting around, stop making excuses and do what you want

3.Say goodbye to jealousy

Jealousy isn't a good look for anyone. First of all it's one of the worst feelings and second of all, you have nothing to be jealous of, you're your own amazing self.

4.Trying to control everything.

That just feeds your anxieties and can drive you insane. Not everything is in your ability to control, just let some things happen the way they're meant to be.

5. Trying to please everyone.

You simply can’t, so stop trying. Work on making yourself happy.

6. Toxic people in general.

Let go of all of them. The ones who disappear when times are tough, the one's who make you feel inferior, and the ones that come around when it is convenient….let them go.

7. Grudges

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. Holding onto grudges just holds you back from enjoying life.

8. Gossiping and spreading negativity.

The more time you spend concentrating on positive things, the more positive your life will become and the happier you'll be.

9. Embrace your flaws and don't give insecurities that much weight.

Everyone has them, no ones perfect.Your flaws are a part of what makes you who you are and you're great.

10. A packed schedule.

Take some off time and enjoy it, you definitely need it.

11. Letting someone else define you.

You know who you are more than anyone else in the world. It is up to you to define yourself and be who you want to be.

12. The idea that you know everything.

You don’t. And you should never stop trying to learn more.

13. Putting others down who don’t share your beliefs.

A little disagreement is never a bad thing. You wouldn't want to be critisized for what you believe so don't do it to others.

14.Clutter

Make space for things in your life that you actually need. Don't keep around things that you don't

15. Unhealthy relationships.

Don’t let anyone control you, belittle you or hurt you. No matter whom they are, no matter how much you love them. Love yourself more.

16. Self-criticism.

You are doing the best you can. Believe it and let the negative thoughts go because you're only living your best life.
