15 Things Girlfriends Forget To Thank Their Boyfriends For

I am so thankful that I have someone that constantly puts me first. Even when he shouldn't.

As I start college, away from my boyfriend for the first time in 5 years (OK, it's not that far but still) I remind myself of the things that he constantly does for me, that sometimes he shouldn't even have to do. I'm so thankful, that I have someone in my life that constantly puts me first, and allows me to sometimes put him second. Thank you, babe for everything you've done, and everything that you continue to do for me, every second, minute and hour of the day.

1. Simply, just being there.

I know being there for me means being there a lot more than your average individual and thank you for never skipping out and never saying that you "just can't today". Sometimes the smallest things mean more than you'll ever know.

2. Always having my back.

And telling me when I'm wrong..sometimes. But, still, always being on my side and supporting my decisions. Thank you for also helping me make those decisions that make me a better person and teaching me that sometimes things are better left unsaid.

3. Admitting that sometimes you're wrong.

I know this is probably the hardest things you have to do for me but, you know that when I fight- sometimes the best things to do is end the fight by just saying you're wrong even if, I'm the one in the wrong.

4. Teaching me how to love myself.

Having someone like you to always tell me how I'm perfect, beautiful, gorgeous I am, helps me actually see it in myself. You make me want to get dressed up, and actually, love the way I look. You encourage me to take selfies and send them to you. Thank you for being a constant reminder that looking the way I do..is enough.

5. Spoiling me, always.

FOOOOD, that's literally all I have to say. It doesn't have to be purses, shoes, clothes just taking me out to Wendy's 4 for 4 is literally ENOUGH. You don't even have to ask what I want, you know that it's always something I can EAT. But, occasionally you throw in some goodies and I am so grateful for that.

6. Keeping ALL of my secrets.

"Please don't tell anyone"....but does my boyfriend count? The truth is I actually tell you EVERYTHING. You're like my safe of secrets. I know they will literally never get out. You'll even accept the fact that I'm being totally fake to a girl I don't like. Just because...well..you know.

7. Putting up with all my weird habits.

You let me: talk to dogs in a weird way, let one loose, pick my nose, bite my nails, sing horribly- any ing that I need to do in that moment. And yet, you still freaking love me for it.

8. Letting me control the radio... sometimes.

Did someone say a little bit of Justin Beiber? You even let me blare high school musical on those long car rides. Yes, I can see you lip singing to "Baby" other there- don't try and hide it.

9. Allowing me to be clingy AF.

"Please don't go out, we can sit here and cuddle!" Don't those words sound a little too familiar? Obviously, because you know you can never say no! And you're happy to cancel on your friends, SOMETIMES. You don't mind getting showered with kisses every second of the day either.

10. When I need it, giving me my space.

Which is not all the time, but you know when I just don't want to talk about something, or need a few hours to myself. And, you're more than happy to give me that, thank you.

11. Actually enjoying the time we spend with my crazy family.

You'd never dread going to family events because you love my family, and in turn they love you. You love cracking open a "cold one" with my brothers or Dad. You're like part of the family at this point.

12. Obviously, dueting ANY kind of music.

OBVIOUSLY, I'M TALKING ABOUT GREASE OR HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. ENOUGH said.

13. Cheering me up, no matter how sad I am.

You know when I've had a bad day..and you don't mind using half of your energy on trying to make me smile again. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

14. Being my number-one cheerleader, even if you're the only one.

Whatever my goals are in life, you promised me that you'd be right there to support me. You love seeing my success, sometimes you even act like my victory is yours.

15. Lastly, being the man of my dreams.

I don't even have enough space to say how thankful I am for the person you are, and the person you push me to be. You are what the fairy tales tell little girls about, and what the movies portray a good boyfriend to me. Thank you, for giving me something to talk about every day, and something to write about. I am such a lucky girl. I hope my daughter can find at least a guy as half as great you are.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
