Summer can be super boring, but if you know what to do, it'll make the next couple of months fly by!

16 Things To Do During Summer '16

1. Go To The Beach

I feel like this is a given. It's hot, humid and sweaty. What better way is there to cool down?

2. Explore The Closest City

I've found the best times exploring my city, and it's become more and more of a past-time for me.

3. Volunteer

Always remember that some people don't have it as good as you. Helping other people will make you feel a million times better about yourself.

4. Read

I love reading. I can go through about 10 books in a Summer. Pick up something that interests you, lay by the pool, and relax.

5. Go On A Road Trip

This is something that I haven't done yet, but I hope to have crossed this off of my list by the end of summer. Get your closest friends, roll the windows down, and just drive.

6. Get A Makeover

That new lipstick you wanted? The new haircut you've been wanting to get? The new wardrobe?

What better time to try it out?

7. Make New Friends

Be social! That's one of the best Summer tips. People lose touch over the next couple of months. But don't let that happen! If you miss someone, let them know!

8. Have A Movie Marathon

This is one of my favorites. Air-conditioning and laying around all day is my favorite hobby.

9. Get Ahead On Work

This is not fun. In my defense, I didn't say that it would all be fun. But, for a student, a couple of months to get ahead on adult things.

10. Late Night Drives

Windows down, loud music, what more can I say?

11. Visit A Museum

Definitely save this one for one of the really warm days, because museums are always freezing.

12. Go To A Drive-In

For me personally, my favorite ones to watch are scary movies, but maybe that's just me. Regardless, drive-ins are a blast.

13. Have A Picnic

Picnics are so much fun! Get some friends together (or a significant other), a blanket, and some food, and you've got it made.

14. Watch Some Fireworks

Take up the Independence Day offers and go watch fireworks. It's a fun experience, and throwing fire in the sky is kind of a "Classic American Summer" thing to do.

15. Go To A Bonfire

Bonfires are a classic summertime get-together. Extra points if you put your phones away for the night.

16. Watch The Sunset

Last but not least, go somewhere pretty and go watch Earth do it's thing!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
