Disney! The company of magic and adventure. Some of Disney's most successful movies were princess-based. Disney Princesses have taught boys and girls alike so much about themselves and their abilities. Can you relate to the magic behind these movies?

1. Girls prove to be physically strong.

Most people would argue that girls are not as strong as boys. Mulan shows us that strength is possible if you put your mind and body to it.

2. Girls are strong mentally.

Not having parents can be mentally destroying. Many princesses have had parents that have died. This shows that girls are mentally strong through hardship.

3. You don't always need to be neat and proper.

It's ok to be lazy and not have makeup and dress up 24/7. Dressing down and being comfortable in your own skin is a major key to happiness.

4. Seek adventure.

"Adventure is out there!" Toy Story taught us that, and so did princesses. Going on a journey is fun and exciting.

5. Never judge a book by its cover.

Everyone has a story and it is right and just to listen to someone's story before we judge them. The inside counts.

6. Love your family.

Family is forever and always, no matter what. They will always be there for you so it is important to show your love for them.

7. Make choices for yourself.

Listening to your parents is important, but they don't always know what's best for you. Only you can make big decisions for yourself.

8. Hard work pays off.

You don't get by believing and hoping. Actions matter! Work hard to play harder.

9. Believe in magic.

Wish upon a star! Magic is something we all wish we had. There is magic all around, we just need to believe.

10. Never be afraid to dream.

Just because something seems unrealistic doesn't mean it is unachievable. Dreaming is what gets us to our ultimate goal.

11. Be brave.

Simple as that.

12. Your comfort zone was made to be shattered.

Try something new that can excite or terrify you!

13. Never stop learning.

Knowledge is power. Learning is a gift that is earned not granted. Learning can get you to so many great places in life.

14. Let it go!

Don't keep everything inside. Show your emotions and your love for everyone and everything to see.

15. Be kind.

Kindness gets you far in life.

16. Explore.

There are so many wonderful things in the world, how could you not want to discover them?

A true princess listens to her heart and her mind. By doing these things each and everyone of us can be princesses ourselves. Dream big and dream far!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
