Being a student is hard, but it has its share of advantages. For example, student discounts! Are you getting the most out of your student status?

1. Mail

Students can receive discounts from FedEx. Now you can afford to mail your dirty laundry home.

2. Entertainment

Nothing to do on Friday night? AMC Theaters and Cinemark offer you discounts so you can see all the newest movies.

3. Digital Services

Amazon and Spotify make it easy to save money and enjoy the luxuries of two-day shipping and unlimited music.

4. Technology

Computers are a college student's life. Apple, Adobe, HP, Lenovo, Dell and Sony are here to offer you the best technology at a discounted rate.

5. Grocery Stores

Save money by shopping at Sam's Club and Kroger Grocery Stores.

6. Clothing

By showing your student ID for in-store purchases, students can receive discounts from stores such as Kate Spade, Goodwill, Topshop, Charlotte Russe and Pacsun. No need to empty your bank account to look good!

7. Phone Services

Cell phones are important to college students, and phone companies realize this. Students can receive discounts on phones and services from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

8. Restaurants

We all get tired of our school's dining hall. If you're going to grab some food off campus, you might as well get it for a discounted price! Go to Buffalo Wild Wings, Firehouse Subs, Dairy Queen or Sweet Tomatoes to save some money on your meal. Or go to Chipotle or Chick-Fil-A to get a free drink!

9. Insurance

Insurance. It's necessary. Companies such as State Farm, Nationwide, Allstate, Geico, and Esurance offer discounted pricing to students with good grades, some even after graduation!

For those of us without vehicles, transportation can be a real struggle. Your city's public transportation may offer discounts to students. Also check out Greyhound for some great deals!

For those of us who do have cars, Jiffy Lube and General motors offer discounts to college students.

Are you a crafty college student with a tight budget? Never fear. Jo-Ann's and Hancock Fabrics offer student discounts so you can make all your Pinterest dreams come true.

14. News

The Economist, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal all offer discounted subscriptions to college students. Staying informed has never been easier.

15. Beauty

Sally's Beauty offers student discounts so that you can get nail polish to match every outfit you own without emptying your wallet.

16. Performing Arts
