Eating out is scary, trying new foods can be downright traumatizing, and adventure is just not in your palette. We picky eaters like what we like, and usually can't be convinced of another opinion.
1. The list of things you'll eat is so small, you basically have the same handful of meals on rotation

2. Growing up, family dinners usually ended in fights and threats of no dessert

3. Going to restaurants is a hugely stressful
experience because you can rarely order something straight off the menu without
a special request of some sort

4. The pain of biting into a bit of food and instantly wanting to vomit but not being able to spit it out because it's "gross" to do so in public

5. When you’re a guest at someone’s house and you hear the dreaded words: "what do you want to eat?"

6. When somebody says “just eat it, it was all cooked together so it all tastes the same”

7. When somebody tricks you into eating something they know you don't like

8. You consider chicken it's own food group

9. When somebody asks you what foods you don't like

10. When you have to explain to people that the problem might not just be the way it tastes, but the texture too

11. When people tell you “you’ll learn to like it”

12. And then begin to lecture you on how you need to force feed yourself certain foods because they're good for you

13. You've completely mastered the art of picking certain ingredients out of your meal, or eating around it all together while everyone sits and stares

14. Dipping everything in ranch dressing or ketchup because it simply tastes better that way

15. When someone says “just try it!” as if trying that food for the umpteenth time is going to make it any less vomit-inducing
16. At the end of the day you recognize that you may be irrationally picky sometimes, but you like what you like, right?
