College is something we have all looked forward to, but now it's coming to an end. The real world is something people always threatened us with, but now it's more than just a threat. The real world is fast approaching, so senior year is the last chance to enjoy the college life before the responsibilities of life hit us.

1. For some of us, it hits us this is our last year of school.

You realize no more tests, quizzes, projects, presentations, or pop quizzes. You're pumped!

2. While others are applying to grad schools and taking the GRE.

The GRE is something you always dreaded, but now you're registered to take it... is it took late to drop out yet?

3. You hope grad schools will be generous and let you in, despite your GPA.

You really are a good student; you just slacked a little bit with your grades. You're hoping grad schools will see how hard you work, despite your GPA.

4. You wonder how you ended up getting a 9 a.m. class your senior year.

You have been looking forward to registering for classes before everyone else just so you could sign up for later classes. Yet, here you are, waking up at 7:30 your senior year. That's cool.

5. And you immediately regret staying up late with your friends last night.

You try so hard to stay awake, but you just can't. You have to pick between a social life, good grades, and enough sleep. Naturally, sleep is sacrificed.

6. Despite the early mornings, you're excited to get a job in your field and gain complete independence.

You're so sick of summer jobs and finding time in your crazy schedule to volunteer. You're ready to get a job in the field you've been studying the last few years.

7. Except, you realize that means paying your own bills.

Rent, makeup, groceries, heat, A/C, laundry, clothes, detergent, etc. It's all on you to buy.

8. And scheduling your own appointments.

No more calling mom to schedule your appointments for you. Either schedule your own appointments, or don't, and hope you don't die.

9. You look at your bank account and freak out about the money you thought you had in it.

Well, I definitely thought I had more than -$3756.83 in my bank account.

10. Despite your 9 a.m. classes, you still stay out late with your friends.

I'm in bed by 1 a.m., but at least I'll be getting 6.5 hours of sleep. That's better than nothing, right?

11. And end up doing all of your assignments last minute.

12. Somehow, you still end up passing them all!

13. You wonder if anyone else notices how sleep deprived you are.

14. Yet you still go to the gym, because you need to do something good for your body.

15. You go out with friends to try to forget about all of your responsibilities, and you enjoy every minute of it because at the end of the year you all will be going into the real world.

Before now, the real world was something your parents used to threaten you with; now you're getting ready to enter it. If there's anything in life that's frightening, it's the real world.

16. So for now, although senior year is hard, you are enjoying every minute of it.

Senior year is possibly the last year before entering the real world. Although it's insane, and you constantly question your sanity, go out and enjoy your friends, your school, and your classes. Believe it or not, you might miss being in school.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
