16 signs you're way too obsessed with Harry Potter

1. You read the books waaay before all the movies came out.

They were popular to you before they were popular to everyone else.

2. You may have re-read your favorite ones, once, twice, or three times over.

There's never too many times you can re-read any of the novels.

3. When you hear someone say “Harry Potter” you immediately want to butt into their conversation.

“Excuse me, are you guys talking about Harry Potter because I need to be in this conversation.”

4. Whenever someone says they like Harry Potter, you instantly become friends.

This is how most of your friendships have been made.

5. Going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter felt like coming home for the first time.

Walking under the Hogsmeade sign and seeing the Castle for the first time, tasting Butter-beer you’ve heard so much about, and seeing Hagrid's hut up close felt more amazing than anything. But the best of all is being around people who share the same love as you.

6. Every time you watch one of the movies, you laugh at the same jokes and become tense in the same scary scenes.

Ron – “I think I love her.”

Harry- “Well, brilliant.”

Ron- “Do you think she knows I exist?”

Harry- “I very well hope so, she’s been snogging you for three months.”

Ron- “Snogging? Who are you talking about?”

Harry- “Who are you talking about?”

7. Everyone Harry hates…. You hate too.

Examples: Umbridge, Malfoy, Voldemort, and Snape...even though Snape proves to be an extraordinary part of Harry’s life. RIP Alan Rickman.

8. Whenever someone has a question about Harry Potter, you’re their go-to person.

“Hey can you tell me what a Horcrux is?”

“You’re going need to sit down for this, it’ll be a while.”

9. SPOILER ALERT! You CRY every time you watch the scene when Dobby dies.

No matter how many times you’ve watched it, it still gets you every time. "Such a beautiful place it is, to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend, Harry Potter." I’m sorry if reading this made you cry.

10. Using insults from the movies/books are more common than normal insults.

“You’re a right foul git you know that?!” may be Harry’s best insult ever said.

11. When you heard that J.K. Rowling was writing another book, it felt like Christmas morning.

The Cursed Child –release date July 26th, 2016. You're welcome.

12. You’ve tried to convince your friends (and yourself) that you attended Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

You’re still waiting on your acceptance letter. Damn owls.

13. Any time you hear the opening credits theme song, you grin like a five-year-old who's just been given their favorite candy.

“Where is that sound coming from? I need to watch Harry Potter now.”

14. You cancel any plans you had to stay home when ABC Family has the “Harry Potter weekend.”

“Hey are you busy this weekend?”

15. Watching the ending of the last movie or reading the epilogue of the last book makes you sad because you wish it would never end.

“The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.” Can you hear me crying?

16. Knowing that no matter how long ago you’ve read the books, they’ll always have a special place in your heart.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
