There’s friend. Then there’s best friend.
And then there's friends worse than "that couple." Here's how you know.
1. When something happens, they're the first person you tell.
I got the job! A cute guy sat by me in the coffee shop! I saw a cat!2. It's weird when one of you shows up somewhere without the other.
Am I my sister's keeper? If you want to know, they're at home sick. (But yes I'm having a mini identity crisis, don't worry about it).
3. You are in constant contact.
You cannot go one day without phone call/text/email/meeting face to face. It's physically impossible.
4. You can tell their stories just as well as they could.
Do I dance? No, I don't, but my friend did ballet until 8th grade, so I know all about the sport.
5. Inside jokes can become a language.
6. It’s weird going somewhere without them.
What is this "alone" of which you speak? You mean there's a life without them?
Clothes, food, money, personal space... the line disappeared a long time ago.
8. But really. There are absolutely no personal space bubbles.
Snuggles on the daily.
9. You know they'll always be there for you.
Hug, a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, someone to crack a joke when you're down, and to slap you in the face when you're being an idiot.
10. Going places, it’s pretty much a given people know you’ll arrive together anywhere.
Roll up to the party like...
11. You're okay to look like idiots and have fun together.
And we won't stop.
12. You begin to sound like each other.
And you're not really sure who it originated with, but those little quirks and phrases just add to your "oneness."
13. You can be completely honest with each other.
From "Hey, you absolutely rocked that presentation" to "shut up and get your act together, idiot," it all means "I love you" at some point.
14. You’re basically a package deal.
Like each other's appendage... there's no question; where one is, the other is found.
15. Even a simple trip to the grocery store can be an adventure.
16. Basically, you can’t remember what life was like without her, and that’s okay.
Remember to tell them: "I love you friend. Thanks for being you."
