When "Scream Queens" first graced our television screens in mid-September, it made me realize how deprived my life was of something fresh and cultivating on TV. Apart from the brilliant writing and shooting, the actors contributed a new level of iconic humor and shade-throwing that I desperately needed in modern cable television. It had me instantly addicted to the plot, the characters, and the scenery. If you're someone who has over-glanced this firecracker of a show, I suggest taking a chance on it because of the following 16 reasons.
1. The humor.
From the dialogue to the over-the-top reactions, this show has me in tears from start to finish.
2. The forever quotable dialogue.
3. Chanel Oberlin's greetings.
Chanel can call me a "fat heifer" any day.
4. The feminism.
The cafeteria scene was perhaps the greatest television moment of my life.
5. It made candle vlogging relevant.
I now have a new-found respect for wax hoarders.
6. The over-the-top fashion trends.
Ear muffs will forever be in style.
7. The homage to horror movie classics.
Jamie Lee Curtis recreating her mother's famous shower scene from "Psycho" was everything I needed.
8. Hester's antics.
There's nothing she won't do, and there's certainly nothing she won't say.
9. The mystery of who the killer might be.
With only one episode left, I'm still left guessing on who it might be.
10. The nostalgia of seeing our childhood actors on screen again.
From Keke Palmer's "True Jackson," "VP," to Skyler Samuels guest appearance on "Wizards of Waverly Place," each episode is like a mini throwback.
11. The iconic one-liners.
It's difficult to choose a favorite character when everyone's a scene-stealer.
12. Denise Hemphill.
Niecy Nash kills it. Every single time.
13. The subtlety.
14. The abundance of shade-throwing.
Every episode requires a re-watch, just to catch every insult thrown our way.
15. The all-star cast.
Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michelle, Niecy Nash and Ariana Grande all in one show? Heaven.
16. Last but not least, The Chanels.
The definition of perfection.
Be sure to catch the two-hour finale of "Scream Queens," Tuesday at 8/7c on FOX.
