2. Binge Netflix
The Fall
Grey’s Anatomy
NCIS
Bones
New Girl
The Tudors
3. Walk in the rain
It’s fun to hear the rain splashing against the umbrella. Being from California, I like to stand in Boston Commons and tilt my head back, feeling the cool water hit my face.
4. Jump into puddles
Put on your rain boots and enjoy the splash!
5. Go to a museum
Museum of Fine Arts
Science Museum
Air Museum
Presidential museums
Natural History Museum
LACMA
MOMA
Racial history museums
9/11 Museum
6. Go to the movies
Get popcorn, a soda, candy, and cuddle up in the not-so-comfy movie theater seats. Just stay there for a couple hours, and enjoy some good movies.
7. Listen to music
Listen to sad songs, happy, songs, confusing songs. Or take the easy route like me and listen to Spotify or Apple Music playlists. Or, if you are talented, listen to your playlist that you created.
8. Shop
Go to an inside mall and shop all you want because why not! Everyone deserves something new now and then.
9. Play board games
Monopoly
Chess
Game of Life
Card Against Humanity
Voting Game
BS
Checkers
Never Have I Ever
10. Do artsy things
Write a short story
Paint
Draw
Make a collage
Take photos
11. Online Shop
If you don’t have an inside mall or are too lazy to go out, just open your computer and start clicking away!
12. Drink a warm drink and sit in front of the fire or heater
Tea
Hot Cocoa
Latte
13. Cook or Bake
Making homemade cookies on a rainy day always cheers me up. Especially when I get to role the dough for the Peanut Butter Blossoms my family makes!
14. Take a warm bath
Put bubbles in the water, make the water smell good, possibly put some rubber ducks in to play with. Turn the lights down, put some scented candles in and maybe play some music or watch some TV.
15. FaceTime or call people all day
We can do this any day, but it’s extra fun during a rainy day!
16. Sit and stare out the window
Look at the raindrops hitting the window and either wallow in the idea of not being able to go outside because it is raining or not being allowed to go outside because it is raining and you could get sick.
