I will admit it. I have an addiction...to pillows. No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to just stop buying, loving, making, and embracing pillows everyday. They bring me comfort when no one else can understand and to be honest, it is probably a big problem. Because college is approaching, I am beginning to pack and I have run into the problem not having enough place for all my pillows. No joke--my tiny dorm bed will be literally covered in pillows from head to toe. I know I am not the only one who loves pillows this much so here are some thoughts all pillow lovers can relate with.

1. Most of your bed is covered in pillows….is there even a mattress there?

2. Sleep is not a thing if the pillows are gone.

3. Getting under the covers at night takes more effort than you would imagine.

4. Making your bed becomes an activity and seems to take you longer than most people as perfectly place each pillow in its proper spot.

5. But—when your bed is made, it looks AMAZING.

6. Your pillows have certain spots they belong (whether it is on your bed in front of the purple striped one or its on your couch on the left side) and you have a tendency to freak out if they are not there.

7. Oh, and please don’t misplace or lose our pillows because that is all it takes for an episode of “throw everything around until you find it”.

8. Sometimes you wake up with strange kinks in your neck.

9. When you stay at someone else’s house, you bring an extra pillow (or two) because there is never enough.

10. If others are staying at your place, you recommend that they bring their own pillow so you do not have to share yours.

11. With that being said, you always have extras if someone forgets theirs!

12. You have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to throw pillows and pillow sets.

13. Shopping is a problem especially when you are around any home décor.

14. You always want more and you don’t see the problem with buying more.

15. When you see an adorable pillow online or in the store, you imagine how you would create an entire pillow set around that one pillow.

16. You begin to realize that pillows are REALLY expensive, so you settle for either making your own or just silently moping in the fact you cannot afford all the pillows you yearn for.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
