OH NO! It's only a couple days until Halloween and you have NO ideas and NO time to do some serious costume shopping! Have no fear, your DIYs are here. Here are some easy costumes to get you through this weekend!

1. Red Solo Cup

This one’s pretty easy to do. Totally minimalist! All you need to do is wear a red shirt, and find an old white shirt you don't want; Cut a line of white and attach it to the top of the shirt. This is easier for girls if they wear a strapless dress or top.

2. Galaxy

To become the galaxy, one must first think like the galaxy. Grab some foam balls from a craft store and paint them to look like the planets. Attach them onto you with poles, or just skip that step all together and glue them right onto a shirt. To make the galaxy shirt, find a black t-shirt, use bleach to get that “blotchy” look. and add glitter!

3. Rosie the Riveter

Step one: Get a red bandanna. Step two: Put on the red bandana. It’s extremely simple to get this effect. Then wear some jeans and a blue denim shirt. Guys could do this too as a hilarious spin-off of the female riveter!

4. Keystone Light

This one could be any beer, or even soda. Very simple, and similar to the red Solo cup idea. Grab whatever color shirt you want, get a Sharpie, and start drawing! Or, you could dress up as "Keith Stone."

5. Waldo

This one is easy for guys as well! Get some glasses and a striped red and white shirt with jeans! If you are going to a Halloween party, pick up some of those straw glasses! You’ll be the talk of the party!

6. Gypsy

For this costume, girls will find it easier. All you need is a skirt, then grab one of those scarves you have and tie it around the skirt diagonally. Pair it with a white shirt, and another scarf around your hair! Get out those hoop earrings you never wear anymore and add those into the costume as well!

7. “Hippie”

This one is simple for our generation, especially because most of the “hippie” clothes are back in style now. Honestly, just run into Charlotte Russe and buy some of the $5 tops from the summer. Wear everything sunflower and crochet-knitted. Stop in Claire’s and I guarantee you can also find headbands that are very hippie-like. You could always go with the traditional tie-dye t-shirt, too!

8. Shark Week (group of costume)

I love this one for big groups of friends going out together. Each person wears a t-shirt and draws or paints on a day of the week on it. Then, everyone gets or makes a shark hat. This costume is great, especially for finding your friends in a crowd. It’s hard to miss a shark hat, so it’s not easy to lose anyone.

9. The Joker

This one can be solidified just by the makeup alone. Wearing colors like green and purple will also help this stand out more. It's very easy, and just takes some putting together of clothes and some facepaint or makeup.

10. Pop Art Person

For this costume, just draw dots all over yourself! Eyeliner will probably be the best for this. Make sure you outline the side of your nose, lips, and eyes.

11. Sofia Grace and Rosie

For those of you who don’t know who Sofia Grace and Rosie are, they are those adorable little girls that went on the Ellen Show to sing with Nicki Minaj. Too cute. This costume can be easily done with roomies. Buy a pink tutu, wear a white shirt with leggings, and you're ready to go! Crowns are definitely a must for this one!

12. Candy

To dress up as candy, it’s the same concept as the red Solo cup and Beer. Most of the work you need to do for this costume is just painting on a shirt to make it look like the front of a candy bar. You could even glue the candy itself all over the shirt! Katy Perry knows how its done.

13. Princess Leia

This costume would definitely be a hit right now with the new "Star Wars" movie coming out. Show off your nerdiness and dress up as Princess Leia. Grab a white dress and put your hair in pig-tail buns!

14. Brawny Man

Finally, a great costume for the guys! Remember that dude on the paper towels? Yeah, all you need to look like him is a red flannel. Got the red flannel? Easiest costume ever.

15. Ceiling Fan

This one is not actually a ceiling fan as much as it is a fanatic of the ceiling. If you aren’t catching on, it’s a play on words. Use an old t-shirt and write or paint on it “GO CEILING!”, etc. Maybe even add the war paint under the cheeks. You are rooting for the ceiling! GO TEAM!

16. “I woke up like this” costume

This one is great. Honestly, just go to the party in sweatpants and a t-shirt and your hair in a bun. It’s the best way to be comfortable all night! Try not to over exaggerate it though, we don’t need more Don’t Judge Me Challenges flowing around the Internet! Just do your own thing!

Good luck on your costume hunting! Worst case scenario, you go as a cat. Meow!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
