The stereotype of a college student is that they all party. They go out at least three times a week and then sleep the day away all weekend so they can go out again that night. Not every college kid is like that, I would know because I am not one of them. There are a lot of things to do at college and here are 38 examples of what to do at college besides party.

1. Study

This might be an obvious answer but taking time to study is very important. Keeping your grades up can be crucial if you have a scholarship or for getting a job after college. Studying for hours and hours might not be necessary for some classes but at least look over your notes and review the material.

2. Go see a tutor.

If you're struggling with a class it's always a good idea to go to a tutor or form a study group. Even one of your friends could be your tutor so you feel more comfortable with the material.

3. Hang out with friends.

Spending time with your friends can be a great stress reliever and can be a lot of fun. Whether it's watching Netflix or walking around campus, spending time with friends is always a good idea.

4. Join a club or sports team.

Being a part of of a group of people with some similar interests as you is a great way to make new friends. There are also usually club teams to join so if you played a sport in high school you can always continue in college without the stress of being on the official team for the school.

5. Walk around your bookstore.

I don't know about every college but I know at my college, SUNY Fredonia there are some random and crazy things at the bookstore. It's fun to just walk around to see what's in there even if you're not planning on buying anything. It's also a great place if you need a last minute gift for a friend or family member.

6. Go to a sports game.

Even if you're not the biggest fan of sports it can be fun to go to one to support your school. If you have no idea what's going on just bring a friend with you that can update you on what's happening. If your team wins you can always go out and celebrate by going out to eat.

7. Have a movie marathon.

Now with Netflix there is always a place that you can watch moves. Having a movie marathon by yourself or with friends, watching some quality movies can be a great way to destress.

8. Eat food.

I mean who doesn't like food?

9. Go shopping.

Shopping whether it's online or in the store can be a great way to take your mind off of school. Also if you get a good grade on a test you can always treat yourself.

10. Have a sleepover.

You might not be able to see your friends as much as you would like so a sleepover on the weekend is a great solution. You can stay in one person's dorm and crash on the floor.

11. Have a game night.

Whether it's video games or board games having a game night can be a great way to have some fun.

12. Go ice skating.

If your school has an ice rink then it most likely has open skate, especially in the winter. This can be a great way to spend time friends and try out something new!

13. Go to a movie.

If a new movie is out that you really want to see you can go see it at a near by movie theater. Some theaters even give you a discount if you have your student id

14. Go to a park.

Especially in the warmer months going to a park is a great way to get outside and even some exercise. You can play lawn games such as kan jam, ring toss, bocce, or corn hole.

15. Call your friends and family.

Being away from home can be tough sometimes so calling the people you love the most is a great way to release some stress.

There you have it. Those are 15 things you can do at college besides party!
