For those of you with best friends in a bajillion different states or even countries; you understand how insanely awesome it feels to open a snap chat or message and see: "I'M COMING TO VISIT YOU!" especially when you haven't seen them in months, maybe even years. The excitement, anticipation, and intense happiness is unreal. Myself being one of those people with best friends spread miles away from me, I came up with a list of 15 things that happened when my best friend and I reconnected after a year of college and a year apart from each other. I'd say it's pretty accurate and relatable for all you other long distance best friendships.

1. You've kept up with each others best friends, boyfriends, and roommates over social media.

You probably already follow her roommates, while she follows your teammates, and boyfriend, which is actually really handy so when you are mid conversation explaining a story, they're already right on track with you. Even stopping you to ask, "Wait. Which Lindsey are we talking about? You have like four Lindsey's that you're friends with."

2. You're still not afraid to completely express yourself in front of them.

Whether that be screaming and jumping up and down while holding them tight in the baggage claim, being extra sassy as they ask a question or bawling out your eyes while watching a Redbox movie.

3. Being back together is like nothing's ever changed.

You both literally just pick up wherever you left off...even if you left off a year ago.

4. You never run out of things to talk about and catch up on.

After a year apart you realize how much you took daily conversations for granted, so now that you're back together; you can't stop talking and asking questions.

5. Sometimes you just enjoy the company and the silence, though.

It feels good to just drive with each other and know that for now; you're together, experiencing life.

6. You "re-vamp" your wedding details, future job, and travel plans.

Which in some way or another, always involve each other.

7. You plan out every single minute of every single day.

You two have seven days together? Good. That's enough time for ice-skating, the mall, karaoke, hiking, fireworks, swimming, bonfires, movie dates, shopping, beach trip, saving a stray kitten, sight-seeing, and nighttime Sonic runs.

8. When getting dressed to go out, you make sure your outfits compliment each other.

Because you sure as heck know you'll be taking a ton of pictures and they all need to be on point.

9. You still have those favorite throwback songs that you jam to.

You know, those ones where you have choreographed dances moves to go with it.

10. And you have those new songs that will always remind you of this trip.

Which, if you think about it, will just be old throwback songs when you see each other again.

11. You take videos and pictures everywhere and of everything.

Even if it means propping your phone up on your purse in the middle of the floor, as people stare...just for the picture.

12. The weird inside jokes and noises you made as a freshman in high school still exist.

Even the ones that make absolutely no sense and cause the entire Taco Bell restaurant to stare at you and wonder if you're okay.

13. You spend hours going through old pictures and talking about all the past memories and trips you went on together.

Which normally results in a lot of laughter because you two always did the stupidest things for fun.

14. You wonder why you ever left each other.

In the middle of belly aching laughter, you look over at them and wonder what on earth could have possibly separated this kind of happiness from each other.

15. But you're ultimately happy that your best friend is happy.

Even if it's a couple hundred miles away from you, you know you're both where you need to be. And you both know the miles ain't got nothing on you.

Long distance is hard for any relationship, but if you can find a friendship worth the miles and struggles and waiting; you should consider yourself lucky. Because those are the friendships that will never leave you and always love you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
