Karley Hawkins

Dear Daddy,

I may find a prince someday but you will always be my king.

1. First things first, the only way she’s ever going to introduce you to her father is if she thinks the relationship is going somewhere

2. Her dad always taught her self-respect, so don’t try pulling anything over on her.

3. Yes, she will ask her dad for advice. His opinion will always matter to her. So, start getting used to it.

4. Yes, she will compare you to her father all the time. She knows how a man should act.

5. She will call her dad when things go wrong. No matter what time of day, he will always listen.

6. She's a daddy’s girl, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to take care of herself.

7. Her dad is always going to be the number one male in her life.

8. She has very high standards. She knows how she should be treated.

9. She’ll talk about her dad a lot. To the point where it might annoy you. Be patient with her, because she thinks her dad is the greatest.

10. If you want things to last you better get along with her dad.

11.Give her the respect that she deserves. You will get bonus points with dad.

12. Never use her dad against her because it will backfire on you.

13. Her dad has shown her sacrifice and that’s what she wants to see from you.

14. Her dad has always been her rock. She doesn’t want to replace him. But, she does expect you to be protective.

15. Don’t ever try taking her away from being daddy’s little girl.

Love,

Your Daughter

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
