Ask any of my friends, one of my many (but really limited) talents is making playlists. I probably spend majority of my day playing around on Spotify, either looking for new music or trying to find old songs to reminisce on. I like to make playlist for any occasion: spending the day at the beach, classics that everyone can sing a long to or the newest top songs to pregame to. Whatever it is-- call me, I got you. The list below is just a small condensed list of songs that you should probably add to your next playlist. There's a little mix of some classics, throwbacks, and different kind of genres-- maybe you'll find your new favorite song or re-fall in love with an old one.
1. "Wonderwall" by Oasis
Classic 90s song. Great for a sing a long with all your friends.
2. "Ocean Drive" by Duke Dumont
Maybe I'm in love this song because it reminds me of my semester abroad, but I highly suggest giving it a listen.
3. "Alcoholic" by Common Kings
The Common Kings kind of remind me of Bob Marley in a way, the same kind of chill, beach-y feeling. Great for a summer playlist.
4. "Be Easy" by Radical Something
Lay back. Relax and Be Easy.
5. "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac
You can never go wrong with a little Fleetwood Mac.
6. "Piano Man" by Billy Joel
If you don't know this song, you're doing it wrong.
7. "Just A Feeling" by Maroon 5
Definitely a lesser known Maroon 5 song, so if you like them a lot, you should listen to it.
8. "All Too Well" by Taylor Swift
I've been a fan of Taylor since day one. This one will always be her best song in my eyes. And it's supposedly about Jake Gyllenhaal and who doesn't love Jake Gyllenhaal?
9. "Confession" by Florida Georgia Line
To be honest, I don't know why I have this song on this list, it just gives me all the feels.
10. "American Honey" by Lady Antebellum
If you're not the biggest fan of country, this song could possibly convert you.
11. "Santeria" by Sublime
Another 90s classic.
12. "Bennie and the Jets" by Elton John
My life goal is to drink a little too much and reenact the bar scene from "27 Dresses," so clearly this song needed to be on the list.
13. "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith
Just a great jam.
14. "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse
R.I.P Amy.
15. "Thnk fr th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy
Any angsty teenager loved Fall Out Boy, great throwback to jam out to in the car.
