We all do it. The second we hear Beyonce on the radio, suddenly we're all dancing like single ladies (whether we actually are or aren't) and having a blast. There will always be those songs that you and your girlfriends will live by, simply for the kinds of moments that are connected to them. Whether it was your BFF's 16th birthday party, the day you finally realized you got over a lame boy, or one that just lit up a car ride to an event — we all have a song that reminds us of the best times of our lives. It's the songs we turn to for a pick-me-up or the songs that end up on our "Getting Ready" playlist that really make us cherish certain moments, whether we realize it or not. Songs tend to be the "cherry on top" of a lot of moments, so fittingly to the point where the moment would not have been so memorable without it. Here is a list of some of those songs that have been on my and my girlfriends' "Go-To" lists.

1. "Dancing On My Own" by Robyn

I mean, c'mon, just look at her dance in the music video. If that doesn't get you pumped then I don't know what will!

2. "Fighter" by Cristina Aguilera

3. "Euphoria" by Loreen

This is to get you dancing in your room in front of a mirror with a hair brush as a microphone.

4. "Clarity" by Zedd ft. Foxes

This was the last song to play at my junior prom, and it was literally the best.

5. "Hit The Lights" by Selena Gomez

6. "Style" by Taylor Swift

This song is to teach you how to get you out of your comfort zone!

7. "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani

8. "Please Don't Stop The Music" by Rihanna

Her dress in this video was my dream junior prom dress!

9. "Drunk In Love" by Beyonce

No one could dance like Bey in this video.

10. "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson

I WANTED TO BE KELLY CLARKSON SO BAD WHEN I WAS 12. This song helped me get over so many boys!!

11. "Colors" by Halsey

Halsey getting over Matt Healy from the 1975 is me getting over my ex honestly.

12. "U & UR Hand" by Pink

When I needed to let my anger out and get over whatever was bothering me, this was the song to help me with that.

13. "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers

If you don't blast this song in the car the second it comes on, you aren't living life right.

14. "Beauty And A Beat" by Justin Bieber

I went insane at sweet sixteens when this song came on.

15. "Really Don't Care" by Demi Lovato

Me and my girls went so crazy whenever we were in the car together and this song came on.

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
