Road trips can either be the best time of your life or the absolute worst. It all depends on how you spend them. For some, the best road trip includes games and activities. For others, it may be the sights and smells of new locations that make it worthwhile. Whatever it may be, no road trip is complete without music and these songs are the perfect foundation for the ultimate playlist.

Buckle up and prepare for the ride of a lifetime:

1. Back To The Earth- Jason Mraz

No song tells it better. Road trips give you the opportunity to experience life with the simple appreciation for the smaller things, like a handful of dirt or a grassy plain.

2. Sleep On The Floor- The Lumineers

Any song by the Lumineers will give you wanderlust, but this song will leave you packing your bags and diving into your car, ready and excited for the adventure afoot.

3. Back Home- Andy Grammer

Need a little boost in the middle of the drive? Andy Grammer's spunk is the perfect touch to any road trip playlist. This song, in particular, will get those excited vibes flowing through every vein of your body.

4. Runaway- Mat Kearney

The title speaks for itself, and Mat Kearney's voice is enough to inspire anyone to drive for hundreds of miles.

5. Crystals- Of Monsters and Men

This one is definitely more widely known than others, but it's still an amazing choice for an inspirational tune that will bring smiles to anyone's faces.

7. Lonely Boy- The Black Keys

Kick it up a notch with a little jam from the band that inspires all of us to have a tiny rebellious phase.

7. Stay Alive- José González

Sit back and appreciate the world around you with this slower tune. Tune out of your worries and tune into the present.

8. Hold Back The River- James Bay

Every playlist needs a song that will give you chills while simultaneously bringing an uncontrollable smile to your face.

9. The Wolf- Mumford & Sons

Kick it up and grab your banjo!

....or maybe just pretend you're playing along to this inspiring folk jam.

10. Follow The Sun- Xavier Rudd

Feel the earth pass below you and appreciate the journey that life has brought you on. Take a breath and follow the sun!

11. S.O.B.- Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats

Take it back with this song that will leave you feeling like you're cruising through a scene in Forrest Gump.

12. Wildfire- John Mayer

Is a driving playlist really a driving playlist without John Mayer? I think we all know the answer to that question.

13. Anywhere- Passenger

A little bit of Passenger in your playlist will go a long way on the open road to wherever you're headed.

14. Listen To The Music- The Doobie Brothers

Everyone needs an oldie but a goodie on their playlist! The Doobie Brothers will definitely get you in the road trip mood.

15. Wherever Is Your Heart- Brandi Carlile

A great song to remember that no matter where the road takes you, you can always find yourself a little bit of happiness.

Now go forth and tackle your epic road trip adventure.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
