My mom and most of the people I've ever met who are older than me are obsessed with how different this generation must be from the other generations who came before us.
They're convinced that somehow we're the most impossible people you will ever meet and we're gonna change the fabric of the country by being too demanding, raising bratty children (since we have no idea what we're doing), and basically corrupt everything that the generations before us have built so lovingly - like trillions of dollars of debt, rape culture, incredibly gendered violence and unnecessary world policing.
So because we're ruining everything else why not just f*ck up the English language while we're at it, as if there was never slang before this. Here are 15 slang* words and what the mean.
1. Turnt*
Drunk, high, eating too much sugar. It just means we're having a good time.

15. YAS*

*this asterisk is because many of these words considered "slang" are actually just words used by people of color that were then appropriated by white people and used without much background knowledge of their etymology. These were often words that were part of the poc vernacular that were colonized for white use.
