15 Signs You Grew Up with Sisters

1. You always got the ugliest hand-me-downs that your sisters swore were still fashionable.

2. There was a definite sense of authority one sister had over the others.

3. When mom and dad were out of town, the oldest was always in charge and forced you and your other sisters to do all the chores as payback for all the times you got away with stuff.

4. They always cheered you on through all your endeavors. Even the small ones.

5. They accepted you through the Twilight phase you went through during puberty.

6. Almost everything could be communicated with a look.

7. People always told you how pretty your sisters were and asked if they were single.

8. If you are the youngest, you always got blamed for everything.

9. All of your fights always ended with fierce retaliation.

10. When you all got in trouble with your parents, you banded together and chaos would ensue.

11. They binge watched TV shows with you.

12. You have endless (and embarrassing) nicknames for each other.

13. Your sister group text is popping at all hours of the day.

14. When you try to decide on where to go for dinner, it turns into a full-fledged fight.

15. But you love them anyway because they are your friends you were born with and you can never get rid of them, no matter how hard you try.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
