15 End-Of-The-Semester Moments Every College Student Experiences, As Told By Nick Miller

Ah, finals. While there's no proper way to quite capture all the crippling anxiety and self-loathing that comes at the end of the semester, Nick Miller from New Girl sure does come close. Get even more sidetracked from the work you should be doing and enjoy these 15 moments all college students experience at the end of the semester.

1. Coming back from Thanksgiving break and remembering everything you have to do over the next three weeks.

2. Finally checking the syllabus in your "easy" class and realizing your professor assigned a group project, final paper and exam all due before Christmas.

3. Continuing to put off everything and rewarding yourself for the little bit of work you do.

4. Finding little things to keep you as positive (and sane) as possible...

5. ...only to have the panic start to kick in with just two weeks left.

6. Beginning to question why you decided to "college" in the first place, looking into other professions that don't require an education.

7. Priding yourself in completing basic, everyday tasks - such as getting out of bed that day.

8. Using your stress as an excuse to treat yourself.

9. Wishing you could bring the comfort of your room (specifically, your bed) to the library with you.

10. De-stressing by having a glass (or bottle) of wine.

11. Reassuring your parents that you're taking care of yourself - kind of.

12. Lacking any sort of social or romantic life, so you resort to befriending the workers at the library's café who make your hourly coffee.

13. Studying for hours yet the only thing you've memorized is that "the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell".

14. Accepting that you're going to fail.

15. Walking out of your last exam relieved...only to remember you have to do it all over again next semester.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
