One of the most difficult parts of the transition phase for a new vegan can be the cravings. I will not lie, it can be hard being surrounded by delicious non-vegan foods such as pizzas, pasta, cakes, and ice cream. However, I have come across some fantastic recipes that alleviate the cravings for these foods. Below are 15 recipes of my favorite dishes using vegan ingredients.Try out these recipes and they should help make the transition a little easier.

1. Pancakes

I personally like to add in blueberries or chocolate chips. Then I top it off with melted raspberries!

2. Kale Smoothie

This smoothie adds some kale into your diet while maintaining a berry taste.


3. Pizza

Who wouldn't miss pizza? Daiya cheese is a lifesaver!

4. Veggie Sandwich

This truly is "the ultimate veggie sandwich".

5. Tacos

Just look at those tacos. Don't they look amazing?

6. Meatless-Meatballs

Perfect to make into a sandwich or put on top of a heaping plate of spaghetti.

7. Potatoes

I think I can safely say potatoes are my favorite food. They are a great way to get some complex carbs into your diet.

8. Lasagna

The tofu ricotta in this recipe is an excellent source of protein, and the zucchini tastes amazing!

9. Fettuccine Alfredo

This is one of my favorite recipes because it is quick, easy, and delicious. The use of cauliflower in this recipe will amaze you.

10. Shepherd's Pie

Why use meat when you can use lentils?

11.Zucchini Pasta


I like to top this over regular pasta to make sure I am sill getting carbs in my meal.

12. Chocolate Chip Cookies

I like to give these out to my non-vegan friends because none of them can believe that they are in fact vegan!

13. Chocolate Cake

Coming from a girl with an addiction to chocolate, this cake is pretty good.

14. Banana Ice Cream

So simple and minimal.

15. Chocolate Mousse

This recipe only requires four ingredients! The steps are super easy to follow, and the result is mouth-watering. Once again, the tofu is such a great way to get protein, even in dessert!
