Ah, fall. The one thing that keeps me sane when weeks start to run together, work piles up, and my brain is bombarded with information to prevent failing tests. The leaves are just beginning to change colors on campus, which means that my favorite time of the year is right around the corner. Fall is undoubtedly the best season. You don't have to sweat constantly, you get to layer up and watch the whole world prepare for winter. We all love different seasons for different reasons, but for me, fall hits all the right notes.
1. When the leaves start changing colors, our campus ignites into fiery clusters of red, orange, and yellow.
2. Fall = the cutest outfits. You know what I'm talking about. Who doesn't love jeans with cute boots? Sweaters and scarves all over the place? That's my version of heaven.
3. The weather is perfect: crisp and cool. Winter seems like an eternal darkness, and summer heat can get old really fast. Fall is the perfect amount of everything.
4. How have I not mentioned food yet? With fall comes thanksgiving, apple picking, pie baking, and all things tasty.
5. All things pumpkin spice.
6. Studying seems to be a little bit easier when you have amazing colors to look forward to and a crisp morning to wake you up.
7. With the turn of fall comes Halloween, which is indisputably the best holiday. We all get to be collectively weird for one night. What more could you ask for?
8. Getting cozy is so easy during the fall season. Roasting s'mores around a campfire with your friends is the best. Or you can just cuddle up with a good book and your favorite blanket.
9. Playing in leaf piles is so much fun, no matter how old you are.
10. You can wear all your cute sweaters and light jackets, but you don't need a heavy coat yet.
11. It's finally socially acceptable to drink hot chocolate with every meal.
12. All of our favorite fall-themed movies are finally aired on Hallmark. Hocus Pocus, anyone?
13. Another season is a fresh start! You get another chance to mold yourself into the best version of yourself. Try something new, and make your life worth living.
