Working while in college isn't always the easiest thing to do, especially when you're a preschool teacher and a full-time college student like me. I love teaching preschool. It's the best thing about me. I also go to college...and my friends tend to act like my preschoolers pretty frequently. Here are 15 similarities I've noticed:

1. Preschool has scheduled nap time, just like every college kid in between classes.

2. Preschoolers are very clumsy, just like drunk college kids

3. Preschoolers love seeing puppies and freak out, just like college kids

4. Preschoolers aren't too great at sharing, just like college roommates some nights.

5. Preschoolers throw fits when they don't get their way, just like when the bar won't play your favorite song

6. Preschoolers need constant supervision, just like your one friend at 2 am on Friday night

7. Preschoolers love play dress up, just like college kids love dressing up for theme parties

8. Preschoolers eat at least 5 times a day, just like freshman with too many meal swipes

9. Preschoolers love showing off their work, just like all the college kids on Facebook at the end of the semester

10. Preschoolers love pizza parties just like college kids love their late night pizza

11. Preschoolers get way to excited for holidays just like college kids because they get to go home

12. Preschoolers get excited over getting $5 just like college kids because we're all so broke

13. Preschoolers get excited to watch a bunch of tv just like college kids love to binge watch Netflix

14. Preschoolers say everyone is their best friend just like every drunk college girl in the bathroom

15. Preschoolers get excited to go home at the end of the day to see mom just like all college kids

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
