*Please note that this is in no particular order. I love these songs and bands equally.*

Here's a list of my current favorite Pop Punk and Alternative songs:

1. Can't Save Myself - As It Is

Can't Save Myself was first released on "The Mind Of Mine" in 2014. Can't Save Myself reappeared on the Debut album, Never Happy, Ever After, released on Fearless Records. I connect with this song the most.

2. Room To Breathe - You Me At Six

Room To Breathe is one of the singles off the album "Cavalier Youth". "Room" is one of the "heaviest" songs to date that You Me At Six have come out with. I loved the roughness of the song.

3. Waiting In Vain - The Story So Far

I love is song just for the fact that it is one of my favorite bands singing my favorite song by Bob Marley. Being that I come a Jamaican Heritage, I had Bob Marley's music play a big part of my life. The Story So Far did amazing with this Acoustic cover.

4. Shed - Title Fight

Shed was the song that made me fall in love with Title Fight. The whole albums is very creative and captures Title Fight's sound perfectly.

5. No More Bad Days - This Wild Life

No More Bad Days is pretty much my anthem whenever I am down in the dumps. It doesn't make the bad days go away but It does make me feel a lot better at times.

6. Seasonal - Paper Trails

Of course, I had to throw a local band (local to me, at least) into the loop. I

Am I a role-model like I've been told, or a voice that should be looked past by those unknown? Well if you feel it inside, the moon rises up and you feel like you're losing your mind, then this goes out to you.
This song goes out to those who stuck up for themselves and were told read between the lines.

7. The Place You Love - Have Mercy

Have Mercy is one of the bands that have been on my list of must see live since I found out about them last year. Inevitably, something happens and it stops me from being able to go. This was actually the first song I learned off their album, "A Place Of Our Own."

8. Dishonest - Daisyhead

I didn't know at anything about until I pick a Vinyl copy of Daisyhead / Have Mercy split that was released in February 2014.

9. King Park - La Dispute

King Park has to be something I'm in the mood for. It can change my whole day. It's a dark song with a story that tells of a drive-by shooting, the victims and the suicide of the shooter.

10. Mess - Real Friends

Mess comes off Real Friends latest album, "The Home Inside My Head." It has that Real Friends sound that I know and love! I going to see them In Baltimore again on Friday for the fourth.

11. A Part of Me - Neck Deep

I love this song and since I've heard I've wanted to make a cover of it but I am talent-less when it comes to Guitar.

12. Elevated (Acoustic) - State Champs

Personally, I love State Champ's sound but I love their acoustic songs more than anything. "Elevated" came across my apple music recently and it turned me into an instant fan of the band.

13. Keep Your Stick On The Ice - Seaway

I found out about Seaway via Warped 2015 while I was walking around. I liked their sound and watching them live but in all honesty, I didn't give them a second thought. It wasn't until I was watching Knuckle Puck (on mother's day no less) on stage reminding the crowd to go check their then latest album, "All In My Head". I get to see them again along with Real Friends, Moose Blood, Knuckle Puck, and The Wonder Years on Friday!

14. Alexander Pl. - Knuckle Puck

Knuckle Puck Performed this song the first time I ever saw them live. It will be my favorite song by them forever.

15. White Lies - Man Overboard

(Last but not least)

Heart Attack is my Favorite album by Man Overboard and always will be. When they announced that they were going on hiatus, I felt like death rode up and ripped my heart out. I completely understand where they are coming from with everything they've done for the band in 7+ years. Here's to hoping for a soon return!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
