Tourists from all over the world come to Ocean City, but it's not just for the beaches. People look forward to summer for the boardwalk and pizza from Manco & Manco's (previously Mac & Manco's) and custard from Kohr Brother's, but the lines for these places can stretch for blocks. Ocean City is filled with quaint little breakfast, lunch, dinner and ice cream places that not many tourists know about. A lot of these places are hits for the locals and if you're looking for great food but don't feel like dealing with crowds, these are the restaurants for you. I've picked out my 15 favorite incredibly underrated restaurants and ice cream shops in Ocean City that you absolutely need to check out this summer.

1. Tony P's House of Pie.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. It's the same pizza as Manco & Manco's, but without the line across the boardwalk

2. Red's Jersey Mex Cafe.

Hidden on 11th & Haven, not many people know about this little slice of Mexican heaven.

3. Sunrise Cafe.

Here you'll find the ultimate hangover cure (see picture) for only $10

4. Positively 4th Street.

Best atmosphere on the island. Also the best muffins.

5. Fractured Prune.

Also a similar recipe to a town favorite (Brown's) but you'll find all kinds of novelty doughnuts as well.

6. Katrina's Restaurant.

(Previously Katina's) Greek food to die for and it's never crowded!

7. Express Pizza.

Buffalo. Chicken. Cheese steak.

8. TJ's Ice Cream.

One of the few ice cream places on the island that makes their own ice cream every day.

9. Arlene's on Asbury.

Another underrated breakfast place you'll rarely wait to sit down at.

10. Piccini Wood Fire Brick Oven Pizza.

The name's a mouthfull but it's worth a mouth full of this pizza.

11. Kessel's Korner.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, but stick around for dessert because the ice cream sodas are the best on the island.

12. Hug A Mug Cafe.

Simply adorable, and the food's great too.

13. Jay's Crab Shack.

Fish tacos, 'nuff said.

14. Boyar's Food Market.

Try the chicken fingers, they brought my sister to tears.

15. Ready's Coffee Shop.

Breakfast place with the best milkshakes in OC!

I hope you enjoy all of these hidden gems while skipping the wait for quality food!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
