There are certain memories that only St. James alumni can have. By attending St. James from kindergarten through eighth grade, numerous amazing memories were bound to be created. Whether it was the yearly talent show acts or bomb-a** holiday parties with your homeroom class (and favorite room moms), St. James graduates are the coolest kids in town. Here are few memories to be proud of and look back on as a St. James alum.
1. Learning and singing "I'm Thankful For" with Mrs. Ellis.
2. Weekly Friday mass in this beautiful church.
3. Father Jim's Backpack of Lessons
4. Singing 'Ave Maria' in eighth grade for May Crowning.
5. The awkward school dances either in the parish center or cafeteria where you must leave "room for the Holy Spirit."
6. Catholic Schools Week (dressing up in mix-and-match clothes never looked so hot)
7. Tip Off (aka the best time of the year)
8. The White Pines Overnight Trip
9. Hatching chicks in second grade.
10. Getting a prayer buddy to "pray" with.
11. Beating Wayside in about almost everything.
12. Rushing to school the day the homeroom class lists were posted to see who was in your class.
13. The one group of boys every year to do a huge variety show act with funny dancing (obviously choreographed by a mom).
14. The Ski Trip where everyone acted like way better skiers than they actually were and someone eventually got hurt.
15. Last, but not least, listening to Bon Jovi everyday while running in Mrs. Erland's gym class.
Of course, this list could not justify how great it is to be a St. James Bulldog. The life-long friends and memories that are made at St. James will forever be ingrained in our brains along with Mrs. Judy Pappas' voice.
